The way his proclamation is being carried on news sites made me think it was something official and equivalent to Ring's fighter of the year, but I suppose for now it's only his opinion.
Donaire struggled in 3 of the 4? Something tells me you only say that based on his boxrec page. That win over Vazquez should not have been a split decision. And Vazquez has "shaky" whiskers? Yeah, never been knocked down before Donaire. That stoppage loss to Arce was a referee stoppage. And Narvaez happened in 2011. Get your facts straight.
Nope. Watched them all. Vasquez was doing work with his jab and messed up Donaires face pretty well if I remember correctly. I forget my score but had Donaire not scored the KD I would have had that one a draw. Narvaez is about 5 foot tall and he was jabbing Donaire as well. Obviously not as successful but Donaire should have had this fight stopped. He lacked a body attack which is why Narvaez was able to cover up almost everthing Donaire threw. Mathebula I had never seen fight but after the first round I figured Donaire would stop him quick and he did not. Actually Mathebula won alot of clear rounds on my card as he was landing big shots on Donaire. Donaire did finish strong with breaking Mathebulas jaw and basically sweeping the last 3 rounds. Arce. Well he is Arce. A small shot fighter who comes face first. Which one of these wins really stands out to you? Vasquez is the closest I can think of and he was previously stopped by Arce.
Tim should have been in the running but he fell off the earth after that win. (Besides his win was trumped by Juan)
I believe Broner should have been but I won't get schoked if it is Guerrero. This man came out of nowhere, Gilroy, Cali, with his wife about to die and with little ones. Guerrero means WARRIOR in spanish.
WTF!!!!! 1. JMM 2. Danny Garcia 3. Nonito Donaire any of these guys would have been acceptable. what a load of ****. All this means is Guererro vs Mayweather is next for sure.
I'm just not sure how you scored ND-WVJr 6 rounds apiece. I had it 117-110 and if I remember correctly, almost everyone here (the ones that aren't that criticial of Donaire) was calling the judges morons because the cards should not have been that close. And why do you keep mentioning Narvaez? That fight happened last year.
