Well while i am a Robert Guerrero fan i have to agree that he doesn't deserve fighter of the year and i am disappointed that golden boy have clearly no regard for being true to the sport EVEN when it comes to awards it should of went to Nonito Donaire without question the level of competition he's faced this year is unmatched and it's a shame he isn't officially getting recognised for it.

GBP, the new TR, is really hyping up Guerrero to have a "case" as to why he is fighting Mayweather.

    :-( :verysad

They've got to keep it movin'...

Floyd's last six fights in Vegas have generated $558,000,000 million dollars in domestic PPV and Live Gate.

How is that hating? I was putting in my two cents on how I do not think anyone really stands out. Donaire's 4 fights still are not even that great.

only cause he's golden boys. the real fighter of the year is juan manuel dinamita marquez hands down.. he has done what nobody else could do. and also knockout of the decade!!

  7. Naw yer a hater.

Donaire fought 4 times this year against the best opposition available... all the while subjecting himself to random blood PED testing 24/7/365 (the only fighter ever to do that).

WTF did Guerrero do? He beat Aydin and Berto. Good wins but not as good as the 4 wins Nonito had.

If you can't give Donaire credit for what he did this year, you are clearly just hatin'.

It's not a bad choice, Robert had a hell of a year. Beating Berto isn't a massive accomplishment for a highly rated welter weight, but for a a 140 or 135 pound fighter it's very impressive. I went with Nonito to take home fighter of the year honors, personally....but this isn't a terrible alternative.

I am just saying he does not stand out just like no one else does. The best opposition around his weight class would have been Mares, Rigo and Moreno. He did not face any of those guys so please do not say he faced the best opposition available. Actually the only reason he has mentioned those guys is because they have gone on record calling him out non stop so he is forced to. Donaire is good an I like the kid but his resume this year was not impressive enough to clinch him the spot for Fighter of the year. He is one of the top ones but not a unanimous number one.

    Fighters of the year:

    1. JMM
    2. Danny Garcia
    3. Donaire
    4. Ward
    5. Trout
    6. Froch
    7. Martinez
    8. Broner
    9. Viloria
    10. Guerrero

Guerrero is literally the 10th most deserving fighter for this award, he's not even close to beign a runner up! this is a load of **** along with the top 10 ranking of Guerrero to try and legitimize the Floyd fight. **** these clowns and the direction they've taken.

it is.....there have been other reports now too! ****ing pathetic choice, literally not even close to the top 5, he shouldn't even be considered for a nominee or runner up. this just means they're trying to hype him cause its floyd vs the ghost next.

Hyping him up clearly, get more interest, then send him to a one sided beat down by Mayweather
