Man, I'd have thought AJ would have grown out of this by now. He doesn't like how the fighter who is staring at him for their weigh in, is looking at him?

    Isn't he in his 30s?

Would he have this energy with Wilder? With Chisora? Hmmm... I have my doubts. But hey he doesn't like how the +2,500 late sub underdog he can probably sleep within a few rounds is looking at him at the weigh in to their fight so does the tough guy thing with him.

    Get a grip AJ.

Reeks of weakness imo. And I say that as an AJ supporter.

I don’t think anyone was dominated. It’s a bit weird asking someone if they have a problem when it is a stare down before a planned fight. Helenius to me seemed confused at AJ’s behaviour if anything.

I didn't see any domination either way, they were kind of subdude (spelling). I think Helenius is the more mentally weaker of the 2 and that's saying something. He's the type when he's unloading on you, it's great, but if you clock him good he folds like a wet cardboard cutout of a Viking warrior.
At this point he's like one of those characters in Scooby Doo when unmasked as some skinny guy in a fearsome costume. ****, AJ might be too. I'd love to see them exchanging knockdowns though.

He's a serious athlete with potentially 10's of millions on the line.

What response or behavior should he have exhibited in this particular situation in your opinion?

He wouldn't have been lippy if Wilder or Zheng or Joyce was standing there.

There is a cold psychopathic side to AJ when his anger and resentment take hold

I dont think he was thinking about money or losing. He was talking gibberish because a big white man had a piercing gaze which triggered him, clearly. He's also embarassed he's at this level and caused a weird word salad. Probably a bully syndrome at play too. Much, much to unpack.

So true, I can imagine him punching Helenius and shouting 'who's got the problem now', believing that knocking him around the ring somehow redeems his failures.

That's the point many of us will be hoping for a lucky punch that knocks AJ tfo.

The pressure AJ would have on his shoulders would be immense, he's been one of the main draws and torch bearer's of the sport for nearly 10 years. When you consider how his past few fights have gone and his deplorable Usyk loss reaction, he's at a point now where he really can't **** up, from a financial and especially from a legacy/public perception perspective. Based off that, his reaction in this particular situation and his demeanor in general isn't surprising in my opinion.

Helenius on the other hand has hit the jackpot, two fights and two paychecks in a 7 day period, still in fight mode obviously and standing there with a relaxed **** eating grin on his mug, it's a win/win situation for him. Good for him.

At a stare down to get upset that someone is staring at him?

    Not that behaviour anyway.
