According to the media in Germany, the injury of Robert Helenius is more serious than was originally believed.

He'll be having surgery and will not be able to fight for at least six months.

Maybe he will be able to work on his conditioning a bit more during his rehab period.

Doesn't look good for a guy who relys on his power though.

Robert's had a recurring hand injury as well as a shoulder problem.

Here's a link to a news article about the surgery and the six month layoff (it's in German):

So it's looking like Fury will likely vacate his UK title, leaving Price high and dry, while Dimitrenko and Fury fight it out for Dimi's old strap.

Unless of course Boystov thinks he's ready to fight a live body again.

Although he was throwing it, Helenius' hand clearly affected him against Chimpsora/

  6. Wow. The young guys are dropping out of fights everywhere. Pussies all over.
Wlad had to call off an easy fight against Mormeck for 6 months,Vitali needed a 7 year break in between his "war" with Adamek,Chambers has called off his second fight in a row and Helenius (the robotic no heart stiff) is going to be out of commission for 6 months. Holy ****. I never heard of Dempsey calling off a fight like a *****. And 50 year old Holyfield is actually looking for a fight. That's why he's a real champion.
Boytsov fights like once a year against bums,Welliver is a fat slow no power douche etc.

It's absolutely sickening to see what such a legendary division has DEvolved into.

It has now been broken 3-4 times. He should take a solid year off an let it heal. Pain free, he is a top 5 heavy, and when the two best guys in the world are 35 and 40 respectively, why jeapardize a career by rushing things.

Do hands ever fully recover from surgeries? ****, doesn't look good for a one dimensional fighter like Helenius.....

He broke it in the first round and went the distance with one hand. Seems like Chisora is not such a hero after all.........
