Robert Gabriel Helenius is a 6'6 31 year old Heavyweight with a 21-0 13 KO's record. Born in Stockholm, Sweden fighting out of Berlin, Germany but Finland is his homeland. A boxer since the tender age of 5 under his father Karl then he went on to win Bronze in 2000 in the U17 category. He had a pretty good run as an amateur with a points win over fellow giant David Price and and went on a run of Knockouts including a KO victory over highly touted Bogdan Dinu. Unfortunately he hasn't been the most active since turning pro fighting only 20 times in 7 years, but so far he's gone on a murderers row of tune ups and journeymen KOing old fat Sam Peter, 9th round TKO of a decrepit Lamon Brewster, UDing Sprott who he really should have KO'd, shutting out the sturdy but easy to outbox Tank Williams, and a TKO over a past it Liakhovich. And then he was pretty badly exposed by Del Boy Chisora, yet being handed a gift decision in where else Finland. But hopefully Helenius and David Haye will both launch massive comebacks this year and be forces to be reckoned with once again. After having to take the last two years off to recover from shoulder surgery to repair a career threating injury, he's off to a rollicking good start with his obliteration of The Hungarian Beast Andras Csomar by first round TKO he was only the 4th to be able to put him down. So Get ready Povetkin, Wilder, Joshua and Wladimir because The Finnish Frost Giant is ready and coming for you all. Prepare Yourselves Check Out Helenius in Action.:toney:toney:toney:toney

The versions of those former titlists he beat, ie Brewster, Liakovich, and Peter, would all be solid top 30 contenders today.

He simply put an exclamation point on the downfall of their careers.

Yeah, the DelBoy robbery. Why does it ALWAYS stop at the DelBoy robbery.

He was INJURED prior to the fight, and had he NOT gone forward with that bout, he'd have likely recovered from the injury with a minor surgery and NOT have gone on to break the bones in his R hand.

Hopefully, he's adjusted his punching angle soas the R hand can still be an effective enough to garner respect from opponents, but he's gonna have to rely more on the L hook as his finisher.

He'll also need to up his tempo early in fights soas not to lose rds. He was previously lulling his opponents into a comfort level before sitting down on his shots. He'll have to change that or he'll run into a Malik Scott or a USS Cunningham and end up losing a wide points decision b/c he couldnt catch them with big shots midway thru the fight.

Im not sold that he's the same brutal finisher he was prior to the injuries, but he's still a top 20 HW even without the killer OH hooking R hand.:deal:deal:deal

He should really go bald before fights. After a few punches his hair gets messy and he starts to look like a drunk Donald Gibb.

Helenius is a real dark horse.

While it is easy to write him off as a spent force ... it's also possible to mark him down as a potential belt holder if he gets the right path and his injuries don't constrain him too much.

We really need a knockout comp. of with all the heavyweights with asterisks next to their name ... Helenius, Boytsov, Haye, Andy Ruiz, Solis, Wach, Mansour (past 40) and maybe chuck Briggs in there to get him out of the picture once and for all.

Put the winner in against fellow asterisk HW Wilder.
