http://www.*****.net/2012/10/robert-helenius-tipped-for-november-10.html Undefeated heavyweight contender Robert Helenius is set to fight for the 18th time in Helsinki on November 10, according to a report from Finnish Broadcasting Company YLEs sports news service YLE Urheilu. The 28 year-old has been out of the ring with a career-threatening shoulder injury since controversially defeating Dereck Chisora last November and at one point, it seemed doubtful that Helenius would return. The Finn told WBN that he was looking to return by the end of the year in an interview a couple of months back and that now looks to have come to fruition if the reports from his home country are accurate. Helenius is the current number one contender to European champion Kubrat Pulev after being forced to vacate the title through inactivity, although a match-up against the Bulgarian would be highly unlikely at this point. Instead, the 6ft 6ins brute will most probably be thrown in with a much easier opponent as he attempts to test out the shoulders recovery in a competitive contest and Pulev could be two or three fights away at least. A rematch with Chisora has also been touted in 2013, but everything hinges on whether there are no ill effects from the injury and if the Sauerland fighter can get back to the form he showed prior to their first contest. Who Robert Helenius will face in comeback fight? How Helenius will look in his comeback bout? In what condition he will turn up for his upcoming fight? What he can achieve over next year?
Yes! :toney Glad he's back... I was worried that his injury would never heal. And like said, I want to see him in a Chisora rematch. :bbb
:happy:happy:happy Hopefully he comes back strong and knocks off a couple contenders. I'd enjoy a rematch with Del and a fight with Pulev would be interesting.:think
I'm definitely psyched. Helenius may be as entertaining as a sedated sloth, but he's still the real deal.
He wont fight anybody above trash can level until well into 2013. It would be daft to fight anybody even on the Zac Page level after coming back from that injury. It'll be just some soft guy that will just fall over. At best Danny Williams.
If he can execute 100% in sparring and hasn't lost too much power in his punches due to the injury, I wouldn't expect him to wait too long to get on with top level opponents again. Robert is not getting any younger and he is not the type that is going to box to his late 30's. So I would expect some sort of if not high, at least average level heavy weight as an opponent in the come-back bout, already. But in the end it all depends on how much damage the injury did to the shoulder and how well he has recovered from it, obviously.
Glad to see Helenius back, hopefully his shoulder holds up well. After a soft fight or two to test his injury a rematch with Chisora would be a good fight. If he wins that one I'd still like to see a Vitlali-Henlenius fight, if Vitali is still fighting.
Finnish fellow Jarno Rosberg (14-0) called out Helenius with a video message. It could be a good comeback fight for Helenius. He should beat Rosberg pretty easily and on the other hand it would be a massive show in Finland. Make it happen! :good
