No way man. He has faced quality opponents. He has proved he is ready for the next step up. I think the big man is going to have too much for Peter. He is still a little rough around the edges but he has enough to make it to the top ranks. Good to see he is not messing around and padding his record with tomato cans, and actually wants to fight.
In 14 fights he has beaten Scott Gammer, Taurus Bidenko, Lamon Brewster, Gbenga Olukun, Greg Toney, and Attila Levin. That is impressive. Peter is a step up- but really not that much of one. Reportedly, he has gained a lot of weight back, and lost a lot of confidence, since Wlad dominated him. Peter was once a guy who had a great chin, a good punch, but was always slow, small, and technically deficient. My guess is that after the wars agasint the Klitschos, Chambers and Mcline that he will be similarly deteriorated as Brewster. Helenius somewhere in mid rounds in a fight very reminiscent of the VITKlit fight.
Brewster was not the same after the eye injury against "the wolf". Peter has lost a good amount of his fire, but I don't think Peter has lost his chin, he was able to take a lot of punishment vs Wlad. A KO against him would be very impressive, but I expect a close decision.
Thats exactly the point though- he took a lot of punishment against Wlad. A fighter can only take so many concussions, and Peter has now officially had his share. I could very well be wrong, its just my guess.
Helenius is a very dangerous contender in my opinion. Peter needs to be coming in very good shape for this one...
