Escaner is rolling in the right hand over the top, time and again. Greer defends for a while, sliding his feet backwards, lulling Escaner, varying between a turtle & Philly shell, then explodes with a sustained combination of straight blows up top. Escaner covers up and weathers it. Escaner now starts coming forward once more as Greer has emptied his tank momentarily. Escaner stepping in with the jab, hitting Greer on the bottom lip. Greer circles away, plants his feet, and ropes out his own jab on the nose, then doubles a hook downstairs as Escaner is coming towards him. Heavy right hands dropped in by Escaner, pinning Greer on the ropes. Shoulder-tackle by Greer into Escaner's chest, and Mark Nelson warns both to watch their heads.

Round 5

Escaner is pressuring as Greer zips around from corner to corner, squatting down to post up with his back against each turnbuckle for leverage while blasting away on Escaner's body with hooking combos. Escaner is looking for a big right hand, throwing it rainbow style behind a set-up jab as he approaches Greer beached on the ropes. Greer is barking as he snaps out a jab to body and head and shimmies off the ropes and dashes off to safety.

Round 6

Escaner is stepping in, hitting the brakes and swizzle-sticking himself, rigidly erect but tilting outside to dodge some of Greer's speedy body & head attacks. Greer doubling up the left hook into Escaner's flank and jaw. Quick jabs by Greer moving left. RIght hand lead on the cheek by Greer. Escaner not getting close now as Greer ducks and weaves going left. Escaner fakes a right hand up top and instead plugs it directly into Greer's diaphragm before he can bring his elbows down. Both men doing good tactical work here. Greer leading Escaner around the ring and parrying his jabs on the front of the right glove. Greer dodges some home run swings from Escaner and lands a few jabs. Big threshing flurry by Escaner but Greer again ducks it.

Round 7

Escaner is being fed a larder full of jabs, down the gullet as he keeps pressing in. Greer is able to execute slick turns, countering whenever possible in multiples, and either scooting inside for a catch-and-release or ramming together with each man's arms folded over his forehead. Escaner is trying with some uppercuts & hooks on the inside but Greer is able to keep his face maneuvered into the blind spot directly beneath Escaner's chin, while also working his own body shots, and sometimes propelling off to rip some quick hooks up top. Greer now landing straight right hands and left hooks muscling his way in, forcing Escaner to back up. A few of Greer's lefts straying low unseen by the ref.
