It's been more like half an hour since the previous bout ended on ESPN+... poor crowd is losing all its mojo.

 

"Don't Blink" versus "The Little Giant" ...kinda lame nicknames, but there's nowhere to go but up tonight after "Take It 2 Da Bank".

 

How about my favorite "The Ghost" in boxing, Siarhei Khomitsky? He might not speak a word of English but still an improvement over Tessitore.

 

After cheekily saying "night-night " during the glove touch it would be an epic humiliation if Greer were to now lose to Escaner, who is a vicious body puncher..

 

Eh, more like he seemed relatively okay because for years he was sat next to a frothing rabid maniac.

 

Round 1

Escaner is blocking as Greer jabs up top. Greer sticking and moving, already scissoring his legs the moment his knuckle padding touches Escaner's forehead. Greer with a quick check left hook as Escaner is grazing him with a right hand over the guard. Some nice spirited exchanges, both men hitting arm with the pocket defense responsible on each side. Greer plugs a triple hook in the gut, digging away before pivoting off to his left to make Escaner miss a slashing combo.

Turns out I was being overly cynical; Mayer vs. Larios is the co-main event as it ought to be.
