Great performance from Murata. Showed real killer instinct. Once he had Brant hurt he just put it on him and wouldn't be denied. Savage. It was quick but I really enjoyed that fight.

Sounds like a straight demo job. And everybody questioned if Murata had "it" or not, if his heart was game, etc.

(well, I won't pretend I didn't pick Brant but just happy for Murata, always down to be wrong if I'm picking against him)

The switch in shilling out for Brant to Murata was remarkably quick by this ESPN crew. I can’t even be mad, it’s fairly impressive

Come On Dre, you puke, let it all out, cry your eyes out... from the copious amount of egg on your face. After lathering up Brant's balls for 2 hours and he gets blasted out in 2 rounds.

I'm calling skullduggery here. I bet that was Inoue in the ring there wearing a Murata mask

Credit to Brant who is a gent for being an American champ who is willing to use his passport too.

Same here. I thought it'd be closer than this, but people were selling Murata out way, way too much based off the first fight.

Dude had 9 months to focus on revenge, and I knew he'd approach it like his career was on the line. Brant fought a hell of a fight the first time out, but even with that, it's not like the first fight was a washout, and Murata had more room for improvement.

One more thing...between this and N'dam, I think it's safe to say Murata knows how to handle a rematch!

Full respect to him - he can bounce back from this, and he deserves credit for taking on the best fights he can, wherever he can. Braehmer in Germany and Murata in Japan are tough matchups, especially for an under-the-radar fighter like Brant who hadn't landed any real decent fights to season him at a higher level prior to joining the WBSS.

No doubt, I've watched a couple of in depth interviews of his before and he's a very likeable chap and even though I was rooting for Murata in both their fights I was genuinely pleased for him when he achieved his dream of becoming a world champion and he can definitely come again because he's world class operator.

Surprised how he won but not that he won. Was one of the few on here who picked him to win this. The first fight was much closer than what the resident idiots on here and biased commentary would have liked to believe.

Damn, so happy for Murata, yet sad for Brant. Brant didn't have to go to Japan for this, but he said that he appreciated Murata coming to his side of the pond. Both are world class warriors and gentlemen...

And when you have anyone THIS HONEST about himself like Murata, there was bound to be improvements:

“I’m really bad against boxers who are quick on their feet. I took a lot of blows. It’s the first time I’ve taken such a beating. I thought I was going to lose. He could tell when I was going to throw my right. It was a comprehensive defeat. He was quicker than I thought and did his homework. I was made to feel my boxing skills are limited.”
