Robert Stieglitz vs. Arthur Abraham RBR

Please guys, stop with that "SS" ****. It's a little be inappropriate given the fact that it's a German event.

 

After the super six I thought "Well, that is it with Abraham"..

He put up a great fight and did, what all said he couldn´t do. Win on points against a good boxer with a high workrate. I see some similarities to the Tailor fight. Abraham came out of his comfort zone.

Clear point victory and of course no robbery!

 

Me too; AA 116 : 112 RS is fair assessment of the boxing match. Just looking at the faces it should be clear who won the fight.

 

I thought Stieglitz won the fight 115-113/116-112 sort of range.

It doesn't really matter though as neither guy is anywhere near the likes of Ward or Froch, I would expect Groves to be able to beat AA or RS 6 months down the line.

 

I had it 116 - 112 for AA.

Curious to see how George Groves would of faired with SG.

I don't know whether you understood it, whether there was a translator or so, but Abraham and Wegner were really close, they were smiling and talking all the time. Wegner told Arthur that he was proud, that Arthur was doing everything right etc. He even said "I didn't know that you were able to box like that." After the fight Wegner said in an interview that it has been their tactic to NOT knockout Stieglitz. Because of that AA was shy to throw big hands after he had Stieglitz wobbling a few times.
Also Abraham asked Wegener before the 10th or 11th round: "May I punch him or do I still have to play?"

 

Who's SG now ?

We've seen merely everything but RS here.
