Big assault by Siproshvilli! Overhand rights and big left hooks!! Dirks is backing up, getting hit!! Several unanswered hooks by Siproshvilli, pouring it on!! Dirks is looking vulnerable, backing up to each set of ropes and sitting back on them, covering up as though waiting for Siproshvilli to finish rather than trying to counter. Shaky legs on Dirks!! Siproshvilli won't let up!! No quit, no tiring!! Big hooks, nonstop!! Dirks is running scared, rubber-legged and with his arms petrified in place, even as Siproshvilli scores around and beneath them. Siproshvilli is actually landing jabs on Dirks, giving him a taste of his own medicine. Dirks tries to mount a rally as Siproshvilli slows, but isn't able to gain any headway and is forced on the defensive again by the end of the round as Siproshvilli finds a second wind.

So, really, Dirks has dominated a little over half of the fight...not "most of it". :roll:

 

40 fight veteran, been in with prospects and contenders, can't underestimate guys like him.

 

Round 6

Dirks is back on the jab and scoring flush to the face, not giving Siproshvilli a chance to get off and swarm him with those overwhelming hooks. Nice combos by Dirks off the jab, alternating between the 1-2 and the jab/uppercut to both face and body. Siproshvilli is backed up to the ropes as his cut worsens. Siproshvilli tries to jab with a jabber and it doesn't work so well for him on the backfoot as it did in the 5th when he had Dirks frightened.

For a minute there it was looking like Proksa vs. Hope I all over again. :yep (not that Dirks was ever as hyped as Proksa)

Maybe if it was Dirks that suffered a cut instead of Siproshvilli, it would be... :think

 

Round 7

Dirks is jabbing high, into the cut, and dropping long rights to the body as Siproshvilli dances back. Crisp left jab by Dirks, ripping Siproshvilli's flesh and snapping his neck like a bedspring. Siproshvilli slides along the ropes as Dirks approaches with left uppercuts to spatula him back out into the center of the ring. Hgih jabs by Dirks, putting Siproshvilli's back to the ropes, and a flush right cross to the busted nose. Hard body shots by Dirks to get the arms to drop and allow more facial carnage to be wrought. Lefts between the eyes by Dirks, hybrid jab/hooks, and Siproshvilli is knocked back into the ropes, pitching forward to hold Dirks, oozing plasma from his chakra point, TOWEL THROWN!
