    Round 12

They both punch right out of the gate. Gloves fly but bounce off of shoulders each way. They wind up head-to-head and both trying to just club each other on the inside. Ornelas lands several right hands! They punch together and Ornelas is getting the better of it! Big wild shots from Ornelas back Stieglitz up. Stieglitz tries to land some straighter shots and/or grab Ornelas by the back of the neck to stem the tide. Both land powerful rights. Ornelas is swinging like crazy, throws a big uppercut that messes up his own balance and he slips down. Stieglitz pushes his head down and backs away. They tie up and Ornelas tries desperately for one more big punch.

    10-9 Ornelas but not enough.

It's taking a very long time to announce the scores...

    Stieglitz UD

    117:111, 117:111, 117:111

A bit to wide but the right guy won. I had it 116:112/115:113.
Stieglitz much busier, Ornelas with the cleaner punches.

Since losing to Andrade Stieglitz has been on a streak.
I liked the toughness he showed in the fight with Andrade, where Robert looked much smaller...
    but since that fight? Impressive.

That matched with my card. 117-111 = 9 rounds to 3.

Yes, he's tough but with his poor defense and average chin he'd always loose against a prime Andrade or any decent slugger/puncher.

BTW: Ornelas is a class act - just like Andrade.

    Sure...
    I don't think I disagree with that.
But, as a smaller super middle he's pretty damn impressive.

Well done IntentionalButt. Your round by round descriptions are far better than Dan Raphael's. I'm impressed.

I had it 115-113 Stieglitz, so did Felix Sturm.

    I gave the 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 12th round to Ornelas.
