Round 1

High jab by Dirks. Couzens is trying to drop off to either side to slip punches but his cheeks are both already red from Dirks' jab less than a minute in. Wide hooks spooned in to the body by Couzens. Dirks backs away from a Couzens jab and resets. Dirks comes back marching behind his own stiff straight jab to the face. Couzens flurries to back Dirks up, but only for a moment. Arrow jab by Dirks, marking Couzens up further. Wide looping flurries by Couzens. Left hookercut by Dirks, banging Couzens on the chin. Couzens jabs into Dirks' guard. Dirks is covering up, giving Couzens his turn and then coming back strong with his jab. Body shots reaching down low by Couzens. Right uppercut by Dirks stepping inside.

10-9 Dirks

 

Round 2

Dirks jabs his way in, and blocks a Couzens hook. Right hand by Dirks, as Couzens dips to the body. Flurries up top by Couzens are blocked as Dirks digs a hook to the body. Wild slapping hooks up top by Couzens, blocked. He steps in hard with an uppercut but it's caught on the bottom of Dirks' palm. Jabs on the way in by Dirks, blocking when Couzens counters. Wild up-shots by Couzens, flying past Dirks' head. Couzens has a bloody nose, dripping down into his mouth. Dirks keeps jabbing at it. Chopping short right by Dirks. Couzens walks into a trio of uppercuts, right right left. Wild right hand slapping over the top by Couzens, hitting shoulder. Some reach-under body shots by Couzens, but Dirks is denying him anything upstairs. Left hook to the body by Dirks before covering up to absorb a Couzens flurry. Dirks misses a couple of jabs just pawing them out to measure as Couzens backs up. Big uppercut wound up by Couzens but blocked. Now a flurry slapping around the sides by Couzens, hitting arm. Heavy hooking shots by Dirks. Now a quick combination of them to the body.

Round 3

Couzens runs out at the bell and dribbles some quick jabs off Dirk's guard. Now Couzens circles outside. Heavy uppercuts and slapping left hooks over the top by Couzens, but can't crack the defenses. BIG RIGHT HAND BY DIRKS!! Couzens bounces off the ropes and leans in to hold on. Couzens' gum shield it out. Couzens' nose is gushing blood. Time in, and Couzens slaps around up top. Dirks ignores the blows and lands a left hook to the diaphragm. NICE stiff jab by Dirks, after subtly moving his lead foot and angling his stance away from a Couzens jab. Couzens slaps his way in, growing aggressive. Dirks blocks it all calmly, looking to jab him off. Couzens hops away from an uppercut. Jabs to the guard by Couzens. Mirror images, both jabbing and blocking from medium range. Good left hook to the body by Dirks. Several jabs up top by Dirks, trying to locate Couzens. Gum shield of Couzens comes out again. Time in. Double jab, looping right by Couzens. Halts Dirks only briefly. Dirks digs to the body and lands an uppercut past one of Couzens'. The uppercut for Couzens just won't land, with Dirks quickly getting his guard assembled and in the way whenever Sam telegraphs it. GOOD solid uppercuts by Dirks, tripled up to the head.

30-27 Dirks

 

Put some ink on Dirks' Adidas mitts, and Couzens would have double the amount of tattoos he began the night with.

 

Round 4

Hard jab by Dirks. Couzens circles off to his left and chops down with some high left hooks. Dirks blocks, then jabs and snaps Couzens' head back. Heavy right hands back Couzens up and have him skittering off the ropes. Clinch. Dirks slips a jab and lands a BIG COUNTER RIGHT HAND!!!! OH ****!! Couzens is down on one knee, dazed. He takes a count of seven, eight, up. Stiff jab by Dirks. Another. Right hand. Left hook to the body. Couzens is trying to lean in on him. BIG RIGHT HAND. Uppercut!! Couzens takes a knee again, waving submissively. This time a full count. A formality. He already decided.

KO!!!
