Sprott is circling out wide now, trying to keep away from that punishing 1-2. Sprott finds an angle where he's diagonally opposite Pulev's right shoulder and tries to jab over it, but isn't reaching. BIG 1-2 by Pulev and Sprott is rocked. He nearly leans against the ropes, deflated. He seems ready to quit. Pulev is really loading up the right hand now, throwing it a bit wild. Jabs out of the crab stance by Pulev. Sprott keeps blocking. Hard jab/overhand into the guard. Sprott is rocked back. Another big overhand right, clips Sprott on the ear and makes him wince and arch his back while falling back against the ropes. Another Pulev overhand right. Sprott is defending himself but getting hurt.

Never seen both in the same place at the same time. Maybe Joshua developed an eating disorder to swallow up his shame after Dallas, and munched himself into a heavyweight?

 

Round 8

Pulev is circling like a vulture, jabbing out long. High double jab by Sprott from a half crouch. Signs of life. Now Sprott is coming forward and drubbing the body of Pulev beneath his elbows with jabs and short rights. Pulev backs Sprott up several feet with the jab/overhand right combo. Again. Sprott comes back stooped low and fishing for body shots. Landing. Pulev backs him off with an overhand right but Sprott steps back out of its way. Sprott dives in with hands glued to his face and rams Pulev in the belly to drive him back. The ref is getting irritated. Again Sprott dives in low and throws a blind right hand overhead. Body shots peppered in before Pulev backs him out with a heavy right hand sloping down toward his head. Sprott covers up and scuttles out.

Best round for MS, but still a shutout

Round 9

Sprott is throwing some straight flurries now, but not trying to hard to get across. Pulev is throwing long jabs and overhand rights now, over Sprott's arms. Pulev lands a right hand to the top of the skull as Sprott is ducking and bowing forward on the outside. Sprott flops in to hold and is immediately ordered off by referee Earl Morton. Pulev dances out and sets up for a 1-2, falling in and missing as Sprott rolls to one side and misses his own counter.
