Round 7

Weber jumps in with some straight shots, as Stieglitz skips away and then lunges in to lean. Left hooks to the body by Stieglitz and a chopping right over the top. Stieglitz steps out and lands a straight right flush. Weber reaches with a long jab and some rights, lunging while chasing. Stieglitz lands a burst of left hooks and looping rights while stepping in and then out. Right hand over the top by Stieglitz. Weber stands out and blocks. High jabs traded, both missing. Jab to the face, and then a looping right around to the side of the head by Stieglitz. Straight combo into the guard by Stieglitz, building into a left hook to the body. Right hand down the middle by Stieglitz as Weber ducks and then grabs him briefly. Rabbit punch inside by Weber, in plain view of the ref but not warned against. Right hand by Stieglitz while walking backwards. Good hook to the face by Weber, now one to the body. Jab to the face by Weber. Body shots by Stieglitz, pounding away.

10-9 Stieglitz but again somewhat close.

Round 8

Weber is throwing wide combos coming forward, and Stieglitz is throwing straighter and longer ones backing up. Weber comes on with his hands up and Stieglitz bends in to work the body. They lean together and push into each other. Stieglitz doubles his jab backing up and slaps Weber in the face with a hook. Weber thrusts out some high line drive jabs but isn't reaching, completely bypassing Stieglitz's gloves. Uppercut by Stieglitz. Straight combo by Stieglitz. Weber tries to jab through the next one. Stieglitz is just drilling him. Now some hooking combos before they clinch up. Hooks to the body by Stieglitz. Weber dances away.

Round 9

Stieglitz is landing some very sharp right hands now. Weber seems to be standing in quicksand. Stieglitz is ripping out long hooks while backing up, his forearm bashing into Weber's head. Straight right hands landing at will for Stieglitz. The champ slows down and leans forward, and Weber punishes him with a flush uppercut to the face. Stieglitz chuffs it off with a snort and backs out to his comfortable distance, drawing the bowstring and raining long straight rights on Weber. Left hooks when Weber plods close enough. Clinch. Weber is pawing at a possible nose bleed. Stieglitz is winding his right arm around, readying. 1-2 by Stieglitz. Weber backs him up with a stabbing body shot. Uppercut by Stieglitz to the face, up close. They exchange short taps toe to toe and Stieglitz lands more.
