Two-time world champion, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (22-1-1, 15 KOs) has made the decision to vacate his IBF featherweight title and move up to junior lightweight. The decision came about as Guerrero, who stands at 5'8-and-a-half, struggled to make weight in his last two championship bouts. Now 25, he has been fighting at 126lbs since he was eighteen years old. "My goal now is to become a world champion at the junior lightweight and lightweight divisions," said Guerrero. "I want to challenge all the big names, guys like Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. I feel confident in my ability to accomplish my new goals."

Hes scared of Alex Arthur. Even Gamboa said he was amazed with the skill Arthur has and if he was Guzman he would have done exactly the same thing and taken the easy fight with Campbell

I wonder where the IBF will rank him at 130 since he was their champ at 126. The IBF website shows that the number one contender spot is vacant. The WBO made Guzman the mandatory when he vacated and moved up in weight... does anyone know what the IBF does?

we could see Guerrero vs. Baloyi for the IBF belt soon.

Nah that's unfounded. The guy struggled to make weight in his last two fights . . . and mind you he'll have a stiffer competition in moving up.

The Ghost will get beat down at the super featherweight division ... there are still some good fighters that are at that weight class. With his performance against Salido makes me think that he's there for the taking.

He can't stand his own medicine and he can't really box that well - getting out boxed by Gamalile Diaz ...

It would be nice to see a fight between Guerrero v Gamboa for the vacant WBC super featherweight strap --
