Are you that ******ed as well? Where did I attack Duran's resume... and exactly what does Wladimir Klitschko have to do with any of this? It is haters like you who drag the Klitschkos into every discussion.

If you guys actually responded to what was posted, things would be a lot more simple. Rather than making **** up, and then talking about the Klitschkos.

Duran was lucky to have been in his prime in one of the best ever talent packed era`s in the 70s & 80s.

Duran, like so many great fighters, has an uncontrollable need to feed his own ego.
I remember he actually blamed all the booze & women for his loss to Hearns, he even went as far as to say that it was a punch on top of the head that did the damage to him... lol... the right to the chin was just a waste of time then eh ?

Great fighter tho, 1 of the best ever no doubt.

You are aware that Duran moved up from Lightweight to beat arguably the second greatest Welterweight of all time. I hope you also realize that isn't but an ounce of what the man accomplished in his career.

However, none of EPO Wladdy's opposition possess half the talent of Duran's opposition. Not even close.

duran was truly a warrior and didn't benefit from the more recent era where u could easily hand select some fights make a huge name and make a killing without having to truly earn ur way up and take on basically all comers. unlike the fighter u mentioned

Wladimir lost to the best fighters of his era also. Ross purity, Brewster, ...oh wait..they weren't actually the best of their era. Forget it. It wasn't like Wladimir was a Light Heavyweight who moved up to beat Lennox Lewis. Not like Duran moved up to beat prime Leonard. :nut

That is true, and the fact that Duran fought years ago is why he would insult the guys now. Hearns said the same exact thing a few years ago. So did Hagler. I love Hearns and Hagler, but those 3 guys Hearns,Hagler and Duran probably are a little jealous of the big money the guys now are earning to be honest. They are right about the opposition. Regardless, all older men whether they are fighters or baseball players or any sport I would think wish to be young and on top. The best way to feel in power is to insult the current crop of youngsters and say we would have done better and our era is greater. It must give them a feeling of superiority. It is a rite of passage.

What point did we prove, that EPO Wladdy fought nothing but blown up SMWs, retreads and bar room bums?

I love how Duran gets a pass on quitting in one of the most epic moments of boxing history... yet keeps that "warrior" label, and is excused to bash the current fighters. Duran has a CHIN OF IRON... except when hit by Hearns. He is also the biggest warrior in HISTORY! Except when he gets frustrated and embarrassed by Leonard and flat out quits.

very true. Duran fought the best. No one can argue that at all about the guys in the 80s.

    IT GETS WORSE

Duran quits against the best fighter of the 1980s, and Wladimir quits against Brewster. This **** gets worse.

Duran gets knocked out by Hearns, a guy who could punch like a mule. Wlad gets stopped by some guy called Purrity.

    Are you ****in' serious?

First of all... obviously you aren't a very knowledgable boxing fan.

Second, even if the completely nonsense that try to pass off as worthwhile posts were true... what does that have to do with Duran? Obviously, you don't know a damn thing about Duran's career... which is why rather than post your point of view about Duran, backed up by facts... you start talking about Wladimir Klitschko. Congrats... you have proven yourself to be completely inept.

Once again... thanks for proving my point. Also... Wlad quit against Brewster? I must have watched a different version of the fight.
