Roberto Duran is wrong about how to fight Floyd Mayweather

The only thing the video proved is that Mayweather can be hit with a "4 left hand combo" after Vasquez throws a whole bunch of "right left left right" combos. In whichever round of the fight this was. In other words, this is nonsense. Only presents a weak argument that changing up the pace of a fight is more effective than some practices maneuver

 

Uh I think I will take what the legend says over some boxing forum muppets.

 

But would he have landed those four leads if he hadn't thrown the left right rigjt left combos beforehand? You think Floyd is just going to stand there and get hit by four lead hands in a row, over and over?

 

I think I'll take Duran's resume and accomplishments over your 'film studies'.

No video of a fighter saying what they'll do proves anything. They can say whatever they want about whatever strategy they want... then they get in the ring with somebody trying their our plan, and trying to win, and all that talk means nothing.
