    Agreed, I saw Erik Morales rake a 130 pound Pacman over the coals, Pacman attacking the hands of stone at 135? He'd never see round 6, Duran by brutal stoppage

    Duran was not defensive minded , lmfao .
    He had great defensive skills but he was not defensive minded. Defensive minded Fighters are
    Willie Pep , Pernell Whitaker , Andre Ward , Floyd Mayweather ,Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali.
    Roberto Duran is not comparable to those guys.

    Of course yesterday's legends are far "greater" then todays..
    yet,every single sporr( every single thing, everything)has gotten far greater is taken far more seriously where losing ENDS you're career. Athletes are so much greater today, ONLY boxing is that sort of special (at least our fans are) to truly believe fighters got WORSE over decades, in 2 more decades how is anyone going to know what a jab is.

    Duran was a very good fighter WHEN he trained properly, quitting like he did was nothing short of terrible, terrible and terrible. The past legends CANNOT be competed with, by anyone. That's how legends grow to ridiculous proportions, that's how boxings fans want it. It's the only sport that's regressed, somehow with far b better athletes they got WORSE, sounds accurate

    SRL vs Duran I June 20, 1980; SRL vs Duran II November 25, 1980, 5 months later. Plenty of time for Duran to be in shape, and ready to fight. The old time fighters used to fight rematches sometimes only weeks apart.

    Mayweather Never fought any opponent since Castillo l on an even playing field
    Castillo kicked his ass Mayweather got the gift. From then on NO Matweather opponent got a FAIR fight. He finally got nailed for PED's acuse but they even gave him a pass on that. Mayweather was a coward with boxing talent he was a MANUFACTURED champion
