In your opinion out of those 2 wins in Duran's resume which is the better win?
(Please no other fights, just between these 2)

    Vs. Davey Moore
    Vs. Iran Barkley

Which one is a better win resume wise on his record.
Personally I definitely enjoyed both, But the Moore fight stands out for me.

I think Barkley. Not because I think he was more talented than Davy, but Barkley would end up a three-division champion. The former lightweight champ, beating the future light heavyweight champion who twice defeated Hearns? And for a middleweight title when the former lightweight is 37...Despite Barkley's many career losses, I say Barkley.

Barkley. Because he destroyed him. One of the worst beat downs ever.
Iran Barkley was a stunning win too.

Barkley no doubt...won the middleweight title, his fouth division title at 37 years old, against a much bigger, taller, and stronger opponent.

Definitely Barkley. The size difference was something but the age difference even more so.

I don't blame people for voting Barkley...
The whole Former lightweight winning a light Middleweight championship angle is unbeleivable.

Don't get me wrong the win over Moore was amazing. He didn't just beat Moore but he beat him up big time. Any lightweight winning a title at light middleweight is something also.

For a variety of reasons I do not consider the Moore fight one of Duran's finer moments. A kid in his 13th pro fight had no business in the ring with Roberto Duran. The ref from that fight should have been shot on the spot, and the people who managed Moore's career should have been hung from a telephone poll by their peckers and eaten by crows.

    I voted Barkley.

Barkley, but Moore was a big win because at the time duran was called "disgraced" by the media for the 2nd Leonard fight and they said his career was over. Of course he proved them wrong. The Barkley fight showed why he is a p4p great and his ability to overcome adversity. I forget what round it was but Duran has Iran down after being hurt was one of the best rounds ever.

I concur, but the Moore win was very impressive and ...sad. Moore's management cashed out early.

It was the 11th round when he put together that 5 punch combo that had Gil Clancy drooling, "Watch the surgeon at work" he said in the replay:yep

I think it was the 8th round when Barkley hit Duran with that left hand bomb that spun him like a top & how he never went down is incredible, what kept him up the commentater said, HEART said Clancy HEART kept him up:deal

Barkley was full of praise & respect for Duran after the fight, i hit him with everything & he just would'nt let it go:bbb

You're right about the Moore fight as Duran was a 4/1 dog & the butt of all the scribe jokes about now being just a fat washed up old man joke hence Moore wanting to add his name scalp to his resume, what a ****in DISASTER that turned out to be:D:smoke

The Barkely win is far, far more impressive than his win over Moore, which isn't even amongst his best.

    :good

Two good fights that were both very significant for lots of reasons inside and outside the ring. I went with Barkley purely cos of the size, age and style factors. It's one of those fights I will never get bored of re-watching.
