Roberto Duran. His reign at Lightweight although not to comparable with Louis at Heavyweight, was only a small part of a much larger career for Hands of Stone. Beating prime Leonard at his optimal weight? Moving up more divisions and bullying and out fighting larger men and current world champions like Davey Moore and Iran Barkley? It's what separates the two I feel, and therefore I would have Duran inside the top 10 whereas Louis just outside of it. The man's longevity was unbelievable.

With that said, I caught some **** for listing the Hagler victory as Leonard's greatest ever win. You being the Hagler fanboy...probably had a different scorecard to mine.

Thats true the Leonard win could sway it for Duran. Louis was so dominant though

Duran was also dominant at 135lbs, not to the same degree, but that's where his work up at the higher weights come into play. Boxed Ears is correct, not one victory of Louis' can compare with Montreal.

Well, i voted Duran, but then i started to think about it and it's really too close to call. And anyway there really never are any decisive answers to these kind of questions, just like the GOAT debate. I mean there's really no such thing as 'the greatest fighter of all time', no matter how much people like to say that Robinson was it. I guess it's just human to want to be able to point at one single guy and say: "that's the best"

Hmmmm, I like Langford over Gans better.

Anyway, I voted for Duran. Close but clear for me. You do see Louis in top tens though, so it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Duran would do better than he is currently IMO.

Duran is the greatest fighter of all time according to the classic so the result is foregone conclusion.

It'd be worth it just to see Pachillies and MAG's input, though.
