If you have to lose 60 or 70 pounds in 5 months them I dont know how you can be in top shape.

Stop with these damn excuses! If he's out of shape that's not an excuse it's a flaw just like not being able to adjust is a flaw. I'm so damn tired of people making excuses for him. If any other fighter was said not to be in shape for a fight he would get killed and laughed at and it wouldn't be seen as an excuse. But for whatever reason Duran gets a pass for this. It's pathetic.

He got a pass because he was like 75-1 and he moved up and beat Leonard. So clearly an in shape Duran is a talented fighter.

Well, seeing that he never knocked out a great fighter. I guess you can say that.

That is myth. He was out of shape when he fought the great fighters but in shape when he fought Moore and Barkley? Something is wrong about it. Using logic, he was making excuses and facts also. According to his trainers.

Ernesto Marcel is an ATG. Duran stopped him. De Jesus is possible great fighter as well.

If you can't grasp the massive differences between those three, in ring then you're beyond help.

Instead of being 3/0, as it stands now fmj would be 4/0. Truthfully RD was simply too small when he was truly in his prime.

NO ONE the same size as fmj would ever beat him, zero chance

Floyd said Duran and Whitaker would have been his two toughest opponents.

But Duran was another level to anyone with the same reach as him, he only lost to bigger guys with a better reach, he was awesome.

No one gets passes if we are going to be fair here. Being out of shape isn't an excuse plenty of fighters balloon up in weight and party in between fights Toney did this as well and I don't see people making excuses for him.

Not really. He always made excuses when he lost.

Leonard even admitted he asked for an imediate rematch because he knew Duran blew up in weight after big fights.

He still fought him differently. And the 3rd fight Duran was in shape. Many people thought he could win that fight, but now it all but ignored.

Plenty of people went the distance with SRL and Hearns. With that said Benitez had great defense which help him and that's something that PBF has as well but for whatever reason you seem to think he doesn't and gets easily destroyed by guys. Great defense travels and would be great in any era. Now combine that with reflexes and a good ring IQ and you have a problem on your hands.
