Floyd is not an all time great Welter. He was older and largely fighting other small men that also moved up.

Floyd doesn't belong in the discussion with Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson, Thomas Hearns, Emile Griffith....etc. Pound for Pound...sure, but not at Welter.

Maybe Duran should of used that technique against Tommy Hearns. Then he wouldn't have been sleeping on his face.

 

Leonard said he knew he'd ballooned up in weight post beating him and that's why he thought it an advantage to get him back in that ring ASAP.

When Duran got frustrated he had episodes of losing his game plan and just getting dirty and wild. I think Floyd would easily capitalize on that.
