"I was at that fight. When Roberto landed that right I could feel it through the floor. Some women screamed at Thomas nose rearranged grotesquely."

    • Duran dropped Thomas with a right to the nose midway through the third round. Thomas was up at the count of three, but the punch had broken his nose. The referee called time with twenty seconds left in the round so the ringside physician could examine Thomas' nose, which was bleeding profusely.
    • In the fourth round, with blood pouring from Thomas' nose, the referee stopped the fight.

And people want to say Duran was this little guy with no power and these big guys were beating him up. He had a good right hand and he could always land it. He hit Hagler and Hearns with it. So he could land it.

Did Duran at one time kick your ass or something. I mean look at him hes built like a beer keg here and hes flat out old. Your hatred for Duran which you continually yet unconvincingly deny is comical at this point.
Your a good poster on here but your Duran hatred has reached off the chart proportions

You don't know the difference between rating someone fairly and hatred. Why are we here on this boxing message board? To be fans or like them because they are popular or to say what we feel? Off the charts no. I think the unfairness using excuses for Duran is off the charts, and I am not going to stop saying what I feel because it takes away from talking about it. He was big enough and great enough to beat Barkley in 1989, yet somehow too old at 32 to beat Hearns in 1984. Or was it out of shape since he really was not old at all and he was champion then. It is unfair to rank someone too high and make excuses for them. I don't like excuses for anyone.
