Dude don't get too carried away. Pacquiao looses to Duran 4 out of 5 times, but no way Duran runs over Pacquiao unless Pac tries toe-to-toe and allows infighting. There are still some questions about pacquiao that need to be answered before you can put him on equal ground. If he retired today and you wanted to compare him p4p against the ATGs he makes everyone's top 50 and might make the top 20 on many lists but only in top 5 on a few that over rate him. Duran makes top 10 and top 5 on most lists easy.

If the likes of Kirkland Laing, Robert Sims, Pat Lawler and Pezienza can beat Duran why Can't pacquio BEAT duran?!?!

PAC could be underdog here but it's ok. Pac always surprises boxing fans and experts correct?! How many times did boxing experts say Pacquio is good but i think xyz fighter might be just too much for him... or saying something that pacquio might be eating more than he can chew... then what happened?!

At the same token... When the fight matters most, Duran LOST a number of SIGNIFCANT fights! He lost to SRL,HAGLER, HEARNS (brutally!), BENITEZ,JOPPY.

i'm not saying Duran is not good nor great but what I'm saying is that some fighers of LOWER CALIBER beat Duran so why are you discounting the possibility of pacquio beating Duran?! or implying that it's impossible for him to beat Duran?!

Oh i forgot, this is a fantasy fight so pac is expected to lose!

We can all agree that we're talking about Roberto mother ****ing Duran here right? The greatest of all time at 135. Duran's three fights with DeJesus are a piece of history. We all know DeJesus clearly won the first fight, but in his own right, Esteban was a top 10 lightweight of all time, and thats a fact. 2 Duran 1 DeJesus.

And lets set things straight here, who was slick enough to beat SRL to the punch, in his PRIME (I mean like KO'ing prime Tommy Hearns PRIME) ? Its called a superfight. And Duran stepped UP a weightclass (currently TWO weight classes) to take his belt.

I take that back, Leonard vs. Hearns 1 was a superfight. Duran vs. Leonard 1 was a megafight. So give Duran a break if he lost a few fights above welterweight. Anyone who has boxed or wrestled can see Duran was above 10% bodyfat in all his fights past 154 (Guy had a 3pack at that point). And what does that say about Duran, if he could step up to ONE SIXTY and drop The Blade, and go all 15 with the undisputed Marvelous One?

The real question is, could Pacquiao handle Mancini? Arguello? Pryor? Leonard? DeJesus? Hearns?
step 1. Watch Arguello vs. Mancini
    2. Watch Pryor vs. Arguello 1
    3. Watch Leonard vs. Hearns 1
    4. Watch Duran vs. DeJesus 1,2,3
    5. Watch Duran vs. Leonard 1
    6. This one gets a little tricky. You can either watch them all, understand what boxing fans mean when we say these things, and gain knowledge and understanding about the rich history this sport has. Or you can ignore the resounding cognitive dissonance in your brain, become stubborn, and post more nonsense.

Boxing was huge up until Jones, Hopkins, and my favorite James Toney in the 80's. Now they just don't make em like they used to.

    Hands of stone.

didn't Pacquiao lose to lower opposition as well?

Ooh and by the way, adding Joppy into that list was actually classic! :patsch

yes, he lost but that was when he was still practically in his early part of his career when was still establishing his name... but when it matters most he WON! while when it matters MOST! Duran lost his big fights! Similar to what is being mentioned to ODHL. He is such a good boxer but he LOST to fights where is matters MOST! He lost bigtime to BIG NAMES!!!

NO NEED TO TALK ABOUT FANTASY FIGHTS COZ PAC LOSSES TO THEM ALL as far as ESB forum is concerned. BUT ACTUAL and REALITY FIGHTS?! Thats a different story my friend. Last loss was with Morales and Morales already PAID DEARLY for that win! He was able to BEAT him twice by KO!

How about Durans DEVASTATINNG ko's or Loss to HEARNS, Hager among others?! What a shame he retired without avenging those losses.

YES! he won that but what about the other signifacant fights?! What I'm saying to the blind boxing fans is if duran lost to somebody who was not expected to beat him then it follows that pacqiuo who is a somebody in boxing will likewise have a legitimate chace to beat duran..the way some blind fans talk is that pac has zero chance to win!

If you remember the pac vs odlh fight boxing fans, experts say pac probably chew more than what he could eat. then what happened?! duran is classic, duran is great but it does not mean he was unbeatable.

Duran is such a ****ing badass. Seeing him raging and yelling at Leonard after poppin' Ray's cherry is awesome.
