I'm picking Duran too but I think Arguello can have his successes. I see it similar to the Pryor fight, except Duran gets hit less, throws less, but lands better punches

You've been watching that youtube highlight haven't you? Agreed with how good Duran is, but Arguello wouldn't come out of the exchanges without doing some damage and was a great bodypuncher himself

That is what I have heard/read too.

As for the fight, Duran was nearing the peak of his powers, and IMO, would of stopped the brave Nicaraguan in the championship rounds.

Just finished watching Duran vs Moore on youtube. What a work of art by Duran. no stop bodyshots, rolling with the punches and taking Moore's best shots, and just putting on an inside fighting clinic. He's not always consistent, but it really just magical to watch him at his very best.

And that's not even him at his best.

moore is not Arguello or Hearns. Hearns knocked out Duran and so would Arguello... not as early as Hearns but mid round stopping.

    :patsch

There is a world of difference between a 135 pound Duran to a 154 Duran. Arguello does not have the intensity and physical prowess that Hearns had

    Alexis was speedy? You jest...

Duran wins and I think puts him down.. too quick, better footwork, better defense. Alexis would be there to hit... duran would not. It's really as simple as that.

So beating borderline greats in Ken and DeJesus aren't good wins.. moving up and beating a Prime all time great in SRL didn't impress you. Still moving up and beating cuevas and moore didn't impress you? Moving up more and putting on a great show against Marvin and beating Barkely didn't impress you. All these guys are good, borderline great or great fighters.... Not sure what is exactly not impress about that resume.

Duran stops Arguello around the twelve round mark. It would be a great fight.

Sorry if I can't take you seriously. I'm almost 50 and I watched Arguello, Hearns, SRL, Hagar and Duran all when they were fighting, so I'm more than capable of forming my own opinion, especially considering I watch many of their fights more than once as you can see. I did watch the original fight between Moore and Duran when it took place at MSG. They showed a lot more fights on basic tv back then.
