Duran at his middleweight best could win a decision. Briscoe was outslicked by a few smaller opponents and we know Duran was at his best against in your face brawlers. It would take a hell of an effort, but he could pull it off.

Duran circa Benitez-Hagler could pull off a hard fought ten round decision win, countering off the ropes when he needs to etc

I'd favour Briscoe over 12 or 15.Not sure Duran really had the stamina anymore to fight 3 mins a round at Briscoe's pace and his punch output would drop against a man he wouldn't be able to hurt.I see him getting outworked more often than not.

Bad Benny should take that most of the time. A Duran win wouldn´t be a fluke but you´ve got to take the more proven mw in Benny. Outside of Hearns this would be the hardest puncher Duran would have faced too. I wouldn´t rule out a late stoppage of a tired Roberto.

Nobody could ever accuse Duran of not having guts, but he would get brutalised here. Duran the LW king, tended to tire quicker at the higher weights, and with Bad Bennie pounding him senseless, the tiring process can only be accelerated. Briscoe either by one-sided UD or highly possible stoppage.

A bigger and stronger Briscoe either wins a decision or wears down and stops a worn out Duran.
