Well over 70% of the posters on general think you're wrong. Period. And I'm sure if the same question was asked on the classic forum you'd get pretty much the same result. In fact, it would probably skew even higher for Duran. That speaks for itself. As you likely know, as the weight classes get lighter, the speed usually increases, not the other way around..and there's footage on this very thread to show that fighters like De Jesus weren't as slow as you portray them to be.

 

Because of May defensive style I would bet my money on him. Leonard lost the first time against Duran because he tried to beat him at his own game. Which was not to wise on Leonard part. Floyd is not going to make the mistake that Leonard did. He wouldn't allow Duran to make him loose focus. I see a fustrated Duran yelling no mas towards the end.

The fight would not have happened because Mayweather would have demanded that Duran submit to extensive drug testing. Duran then would have called him a *** and Mayweather would have taken a year off or retire all together. Simply for the fact that he would be well aware that Duran would have blown him away.
