 When you have to use adjectives like that to clarify you know you are dealing with a **** fighter who cant be bothered to come in shape. Nobody ever has to use words like "motivated", "focused", "with cus Dmato", ect with Mayweather because he is always ready to fight and always at his best. That is a sign of a true champion.

Duran's resume at LW is ****, Floyd fought three guys tougher than Duran's best win (and the guy he lost to) and totally outclassed two of them. Duran got joked by Benitez and Hearns and SRL twice. Most overrated fighter that ever walked the planet.

Oh so sucker punching in a world title fight is? Ducking the best fighters of your era to go take a "vacation" is a sign of a champion? :rofl:patsch No one is questioning Floyd's work ethic, but to question Duran on his legendary nights is ridiculous. His epic war with Leonard is one of the best of all time. He gave Hagler one of his toughest fights of his career and made Marvelous look like a beaten man. Benitez and Laing are lucky to not have faced a motivated Duran. Having a **** fight because he clearly under trained is one thing and Duran fighting at his best is another. Plus Duran took on all comers the best of 135, 147, 154, and 160. You CANNOT say the same about Floyd no wonder his record is so spotless and doesn't have the wear and tear when he's been avoiding the best. Duran may not have been a gym rat, but if your suggesting Floyd is the sign of a true champion than I can't really take you seriously. Moore made pinata out of Benitez and would made Laing one too. You can't be serious if you think even the slower, heavier version of Roberto that beat Moore and went the distance with Hagler would not have beaten Benitez and Laing?

If an injured Mayweather couldn't beat a guy nearly 10 years ago at 135 then no way does he beat Duran at 154 [\terriblelogic]

Duran W12 if not a late stoppage.

If you consider Duran's style a "brawler" then please just don't post outside the direct Mayweather threads anymore as it's clear you only know one style of fighting and have no clear view of how Duran was one of history's best in fighters. Few fighters were able to disrupt rhythym and punctuate inside fighting with jabs as cleverly as Duran.

Duran would say "No Mas" well I am joking but if he got all distracted from Sugar twirling his arm and hitting him with the other one,Duran would be in for a long night, but with his power so would Floyd..

Interesting how we look at todays fighters as garbage, even World Champions but yet the old timers always get a pass even though they have 6-7 losses and not to mention, look at when Cotto got a beating and stopped but Duran says "no mas" in the middle of the round.

Funny how time changes things,25 years from now people will be saying no one in 2030 can touch Floyd or Manny..

At 135, Floyd would get his ass kicked. It's just that simple. Duran applied to much INTELLIGENT pressure. At 147 I would favor Floyd. Not the Floyd now but the one in 05-07. Floyd is not going to sit there and trade with Duran. Floyd will move around the ring and counter Duran. I don't know about Floyd at 154. I would have to see how he fights against Cotto.

Floyd won't even fight Manny Pacquiao (for 70-100 million dollars) who is a far less threat than Roberto Duran.
