You make some good points, but it is ignorant to assume Floyd could win 9/10. And a comparison to Hatton is foolish, Physically, Duran is taller and has longer reach, along with the fact he is stronger and faster. And skill wise Duran is leagues better, he can throw with power, has good defense, and has better offense. Duran would be way more difficult than Hatton. The whole nightt Hatton was able to clinch, but he was not throwing enough, and eventually May was trading with him. Duran would have just as much success getting close, but instead of clinching he is going to really physical, Hit him with strong punches and use his strength to bully Floyd, and in no way could Floyd trade with Duran like he did Hatton. That being said, He can also box, all through his career Duran has shown he can box effectively. As for Floyd, you have no clue about boxing if you think his footwork is on par with SRL and there would be no reason he would ever try to move Like SRL in the 2nd Duran fight. Floyd plants his feet to be effective with his defense. Their is no way he could maintain the balance to exert his defense which requires upper body movement to evade punches. And it is absurd to think Floyd would abandon his style(that he has completely mastered) to try what SRL did. That said, it does not mean he cannot win, like I said he has mastered that style. Out of ten fights all would be close and number wise it could be 6/10 for either fighter or 5/10 for both. It is impossible to say that either could totally dominate the other without either Duran facing somebody so similar and skilled to Floyd, or Floyd facing somebody as complete, aggressive, and skilled as Duran.

    Right...Floyd hater.

Clearly you don't bother to read anything but your own posts on topics. I'm as likely to defend Floyd's ability as you are. The only difference is that I generally try to avoid denigrating the ability of other great fighters in the process; and try to stay away from histrionics when it comes to discussing hypothetical match-ups.

There are Floyd fans and then there are Floyd fans who go so far over the top in their descriptions that you have wonder if they are *******s in disguise.

And you sure seem to fall into the latter camp.

Floyd's the epitome of one type of boxer. Just because you don't like and can't appreciate the way peak Duran and peak SRL boxed doesn't mean they were any less effective in the way they went about their business than Floyd is in conducting his.

Moving more than he did in the first JLC fight, or fighting him at 154, when Duran hit a flat spot in his career.

Duran's great when he has an outmatched, willing to play his game and at times intimated oppoent. However Mayweather is none of those things.
In a fight with Mayweather Duran is a dammed if he dose dammed if he don't situation. If he comes forwards which is what he dose best. He's playing into Mayweather's stringth which is counter punching. Considering that Mayweather is the bigger man he'll have more time to read Duran. Just in terms of skills Mayweather can fight better off the back foot than Duran can on the front foot. It's unlikely that Duran would even try to out box Mayweather. If he did he'd find that Mayweather can fight off his front foot better than Duran can fight off his back foot.
Anyone expecting a Duran/Leonard I type performance from Duran. Has to understand that Mayweather isn't going to stand and trade with Duran. He's going to do what ever he can to make it look more like Duran/Leonard II. I wouldn't be surprised to see Duran quit here too.
Duran isn't going to overwhelm Mayweather he isn't going to intimate Mayweather. Mayweather has shown that he can take shots when hit.

    Mayweather outboxes him

If need be I will go into why later, but there is a great deal more evidence pointing to this, than there is that Duran will win by KO in my opionion

Out of the fab 4, Floyd does best against Duran

    Just accept facts

    Floyd Haters.

    Out of the Fab Four.

ONLY 3 can beat Floyd. So 25% of the Fab Four will lose to Floyd.

Floyd May weather >then 25% of the Fab Four. Deal with it.
