Floyd at 135 had ALL the tools to beat Duran and could keep it up for 12 rounds.

No way am i saying Duran couldnt win either...what i am saying is that Floyd certainly can win more often than not....he's extremely talented and smart in the ring.

Floyd at 135 looked like ****.

In most people's minds he lost the first Castillo fight.

And in the rematch he won but looked like ****.

if i were to pick one weight where Floyd look the worst was 135.

With 130 being the one where he look the best.

Most would compare Leonard vs Duran to a possible out come to Floyd vs Duran. Leonard had all the tools Mayweather has except for the defense, which would play a key factor in a Duran vs Mayweather bout. Prime for Prime I'll give it to Floyd, he's much better equipped for the task then Leonard was. Duran wide shots would give Floyd openings all night. I doubt he would of KO Duran, but he would of fustrated him enough to make him become more wreckless with his punches costing him the victory.

I had the same problem yesterday Drew.I make no secret of the fact I'm a Floyd fan,yet this boy seems to only see what he wants to see when it comes to discussing Floyd and the four Kings.Reason and any hope of objective debate left with the Germans at Stalingrad.
What it boils down to is,no one that's ever boxed below 168 would ever have a chance against Floyd, because Floyd is from outer space and is the epitome of the perfect boxer.
Even if you answer the exact question asked you get accused of fudging or ducking the issue.Even Hagler is rubbish because he let Leonard beat him.
You can try and be civil but it gets you nowwhere.Obviously measured debating and ability to see reason are low on the school curricular priorities nowadays.Seems to be a reading comprehension problem exacerbating the difficulty grasping basic boxing knowledge.Check it out.

Stop being silly, the only place were floyd will get (at most) an even split on a Duran-floyd fight is right here in the heart of the general, the land of ****wits.

Anyone that knows anything about both fighters will favour Duran to win clearly, both at their best.

The only ones giving floyd a vote are guys that don`t know anything about a prime Duran... the ones giving Duran a vote have seen the careers of both men.... wake up please you bunch of donkeys.

...Or the Duran voters could just be doing it because everyone finds it so ridiculous otherwise, and its the easier bandwagon to jump on.

i voted Duran, but you honestly believe even MOST of the votes for Duran came from people knowledgable about even 1 whole career???

In fairness, Floyd did look really good against a tough, willing opponent in the N'dou fight. That's kind of the point where he got his mojo back after three not particularly impressive performances (all of which I thought he won, incidentally).

But yeah, I see your point. Floyd's body of work and performances at the weight generally weren't as impressive as they were at 130.

I've seen Duran fight as well as Floyd, one thing I can say about Floyd is no matter the opponent he gets the job done. Duran was a hell of a fighter, but brute force as we all seen countless times in this sport is just not enough. Leonard lost the first because not only did he underestimate Duran, he tried fighting Duran fight and got embarrassed. We all know Floyd would not go toe to toe with Duran, knowing the power that Duran had. Like I said Floyd defense, speed and counter punching ability would be his keys to victory. In the rematch with Leonard he lost to movement and speed, Floyd is more then capable of putting on the same display.

Brute force? Leonard underestimated Duran? Purposely fought Duran's fight?

    Are you kidding me?

No I'm not kidding you. Leonard said himself, his only chance in beating him was through speed and agility. Something he didn't do a lot of in there first fight. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it and your see what I mean.

Some of you overrate Duran and Floyd, but like I said out of 10 fights the end total will be close to 5-5. Floyd will not abandon his defense and style to box like Leonard. He just will not do it, that would be a mistake on his part and wouldn't make sense to drop a style he mastered for one he never uses. Floyd has great defense and tries to stay a little on the outside, but he will not run or move that fast cause it will effect his balance if Duran starts throwing, and he tries to shoulder role and use those upper body movements. Duran is an elite fighter better than anyone Mayweather has faced, and he works his bodyweight and knows how to get the job done on the inside. And if you have seen a Floyd fight, you know his opponents don't have to hard of a time closing the distance. But, this does not mean Duran wins, Floyd excels when his opponent is close and trying to hit him, while he works that shell and lands counters, and regardless of not facing anyone like a prime Duran he still has fought great fighters and proved himself as a great boxer and one of the greatest defensive technicians. I wouldn't put my money on either winning by a landslide.
