Esteban De Jesus beat Duran, makes you think what floyd would have done.

Floyd has enough smarts to avoid getting stopped, in my opinion. Duran by a clear points decision would be the safe bet. Although if he gets Floyd hurt like Mosley and others have done, he could finish him.

I think Duran wins, but I doubt you or any of those guys could come up with a real reason why.

Derr, Fraizer was able to knockdown and beat Ali, so duuuu, Foreman could do it :tired

Not sure why veryone points to the Castillo fight. Floyd was injured going in and it was his first fight at the weight against a much larger guy. Castillo is also no slouch, people need to get a grip.

How could you say Floyd don't have the ability to hit and move, when his entire career is based off of those fundamentals. This is why he does not look battered in his fights. His defense is top notch. Mayweather can stand right in front of you or move around the ring and avoid shots. Leonard was capable of moving around, but not avoiding shots while standing in the pocket, which gives you more opportunity to counter your opponent. Duran I will say is stronger, but not more skillful, smarter or faster. Floyd would not have to stop Duran, he has to beat him and landing the cleaner punches while avoiding Duran, will get him the win on points, unless Duran quit because of frustration again, which would still be a win for Floyd. We can debate about this forever and never see eye to eye, but my money would go on the fighter that shows the most skill and consistency every time he goes out and that would be Floyd.

That`s all very well (if true, I haven`t checked the stats but I`ll take your word for it) but Duran moved up higher weights than floyd & was physically strong enough to compete with success, he`s bigger than fmj in the sense that he is stronger & broader physically, Roberto never had a massive reach even at 135, he never needed it due to his style & skillset.

I said fmj did not have Leonard`s ability to stick & move, I know fmj can stick & move, I`ve seen almost every fight of his career from Genaro Hernandez to Miguel Cotto (& a few before Hernandez too) but Leonard has faster & better feet, he punches faster & harder & he`s a bit bigger as well.

The truth is, floyd isn`t big enough naturally to take what a prime Duran could put on him & he doesn`t have enough offence to stop Duran from outpointing him in the event that he can take what Duran put on him. The only thing floyd has that will serve him well in this fight is his superb defense but all that is going to do is delay the inevitable because Duran`s punches don`t need to land flush on the chin every time out, they`ll hit arms, ribs, the head, anywhere as long as they land on floyd... & they will break down floyd.

The only question here is does floyds defense & survival instincts enable him to lose by UD or does he fold under the greatest pressure he`s ever met in the ring & leave his chin hanging for a split second to get sparked ?... because Duran could put him out with either hand & in his prime his power never faded, he reatained his knockout power right up until round 15.

    You couldn't be MORE WRONG!

ITs the absolute opposite. Duran is absolute hell for Floyd stylistically, the guy fights you off an angle and is never squared up with you, he throws every punch from unpredictable angles and applies horrific pressure with a body attack that ****ed people up nasty. Floyd would have taken dudes like Chavez/Pryor but Duran would have gave him HELL.

Duran is a mental midget compared to Floyd. He might quit again.
