Shut up you fool. Leonards footwork was far better than Floyd's in terms of speed and lateral movement. Floyd is considered to have economical footwork. He's very balanced and he doesn't like to waste energy moving around like Leonard did vs Duran in the second fight. Floyd has a habit of retreating back to the ropes in straight lines against mobile pressure fighters. Floyd is far more comfortable utilising his shell and shoulder roll on the ropes than he is moving around the ring. The style of defence Floyd employs equals certain death vs Duran. Stylistically Duran would beat the living **** out of Floyd because he would not be able to keep Duran off him. Duran would turn Floyd into a twitching wreck with his feints and pin him to the ropes at will beating the living crap out of him. Floyd is not Willie Pep. Hes not Ray Leonard. And he's not even Buchanan level in terms of foot mobility.

Yeah so since Marquez kod Pac and pac beat Bradley then Marquez should destroy Bradley. Oh wait. Styles make fights and against a pressure fighter with the power and insane inside skills of Duran FlIVd would be in trouble any time he goes near the ropes like he likes to do. Duran by stoppage especially if the fight happens at 135lb

I got Floyd at 135. Duran's mindgames wouldn't work. The dude showed he has mental lapses to the point he quit. Floyd was too fast and too sharp. He'll make Duran miss and frustrate him.

At higher weights, Duran would get him. As Floyd was in the latter part of his career, his body was too broken down. The stronger more physically durable Duran would win.

Floyd fights however he wants. He uses foot movement when needed. Baldomir fight is a clear example of his foot movement. Floyd is comfortable doing whatever he wants. He's called a runner by people on this board and all over the world for a reason.. And it's not because he uses his shoulder roll constantly. There are plenty of fights.. (Baldomir, Castillo 2, De La Hoya, Corrales) Where his foot mobility was excellent. It's crazy to hear people say Duran murders Floyd.. Like he didn't have trouble with fighters who fight like Floyd smh

Of course Mayweather can move when he wants against a certain level of opponent. He utilises more movement against flat footed fighters. I thought he moved great vs Canelo but Canelo has lead in his feet. It's a fact Floyd can be closed down and forced into a shell. This has been proven vs certain fighters who are determined to pin him and have the mobility to pull it off. Trust me a prime Duran would have Floyd pinned constantly. Floyd has some of the best footwork you'll ever see in terms of balance and economics bit he isn't a fleet of foot type like a Buchanan and he isn't eel like slippery against the ropes like a Pea Whitaker. He can be pinned and forced to shell and being pinned against Duran is not a great place to be. Floyd has shown to be susceptible to feints as well. Duran was a master at opening up opponents with feints.

It's showing a lack of boxing knowledge to claim Duran had trouble with fighters who fought like Floyd. Benitez Leonard and Hearns fought nothing like Floyd. As already mentioned in thread Duran had trouble with speed and defence when he was past prime fighting much bigger men. He never had trouble with speed or defensive fighters when he was in his prime. Try to remember Fantasy matches are best vs best. Floyd could beat and definately trouble versions of post Montreal Duran due to Duran being past prime and having the bad habit of blowing up badly between fights. A prime Duran is a totally different animal and yes he would murder Floyd.

    Past Prime Duran

Where did I say they FIGHT like Floyd? I said they FOUGHT like Floyd when they FOUGHT Duran. SRL "ran" his ass off against Duran in the 2nd fight. And again.. Post Montreal Duran arguably beat HAGLER. Past prime is used too loosely. I literally said.. 135 Duran would cause Floyd massive Trouble and probably beat him. Anything past 135 and I favored Floyd. You're getting ridiculous by saying Duran would KO Floyd. When he's never been close to being knocked out by ANYONE. That's crazy talk.

135 and 147 Duran is too much, too strong, for Mayweather, clear UD or tko for Duran. 130 and possibly 154 Mayweather might edge him on a split decision, basically on an unmotivated Duran.

When Duran lost... He was unmotivated.. Or had to drop too much weight... But magically.. When he fought Hagler.. All those excuses went out the window.. Please.

Lesser fighters than pbf beat and went the distance with Duran. All this talk of pbf who's arguably the best defensive fighter of all time and who has a good chin being murdered and stopped by Duran is ridiculous at best.
