    You are getting embarrassed because

    1. You didn't even know Leonard won the 3rd round of the Hearn's fight.

    and

    2. Because you know you made yourself look a total fool in your childish belief that Leonard had any choice in how Duran made him fight in their first fight.

Perhaps you should hand your keyboard over to your 4 year old niece, she couldn't possibly know less than you do about boxing.

You're a glutton for punishment, huh? Why do you say such ridiculous things? This isn't back in the 1980s or 90s when we didn't have instant online access to fights. Watch round 3 of Leonard-Hearns and tell me you don't see Leonard circling and back-peddling... (very different style than how he fought Duran).

Again, I would love to hear from someone else too, so that I know that I'm not going crazy here.

Sorry but no one on Floyd's entire resume is comparable to Tomy Hearns .Being a master mind against hand picked opponents doesn't necessarily mean he is as great defensively against the likes of Hearns ..I mean when was the last time Floyd fought a a tall rangy boxer with great punching power like Hearns ? Corrales he's no Tommy Hearns .

I am assuming here that I am actually talking to a 4 year old so I will make it that simple.

Did Leonard win round 3 yes or no?

Now if you are moronic enough to believe he won it by back peddling and circling away, that merely explains your total inability to understand what happens in a boxing match.

I'll give you a clue. At the end of the round he clearly raises his arms aloft because he had stood his ground and thought he had out worked Tommy. 2 of the judges concurred with this.

As I said either learn a lot more about fighting, or hand over to your niece she simply couldn't know less than you. Have you even noticed the fact that you are in a very small minority here with your frankly stupid observations of Tommy Hearns, and his combination of skills, size, reach, and power and ANYONE Mayweather ever faced?

There is only one glutton for punishment in this thread son, and your it.

Ha! You really are a moron. Ray Leonard raised his arms after the round so he must have won! He did it because he thought he outworked Tommy (as opposed to say, trying to influence the judges or the crowd)? You're a mind-reader now? Great boxing ****ysis! No wonder you say such idiotic things on a regular basis.

I wrote that Leonard ran and circled throughout the first five rounds. Anybody who watches Round 3 can see that. He stops and fights for a total of maybe 10 seconds of the round. I, like many other people who understand how to watch and score fights, had Leonard down 5-0. Round 3 was certainly the closest of that batch though, as Leonard did get in one half decent punch. I wouldn't criticize someone for scoring it differently.

Are you too much of a coward to watch the link? What about the links that I posted last night per your request in the Duran/Trinidad thread? I'm done with you too. Good day, sir! :hi:

I watched it yet again, and yes Leonard was circling and back-peddling, but he wasn't being an effective aggressor with that tactic. It was only in the last 30 seconds when he abandoned that strategy and sat down on his punches, and in fact started stalking Hearns, did he do anything meaningful in the round.

This is my thinking also. Head to head and all time Duran is the greater fighter in my opinion, but he lacked discipline to stay in top shape all the time. If he had that discipline I would say undoubtedly so.

Fair point if the 49 fights are over 18 years, but one could reasonably come to a different conclusion if these fights were over the time period it took Duran to get to 49 fights, which would have been about 5 years.

Thanks for watching. I still have no idea what that other poster was thinking when he said those crazy things about the round (or the other Leonard fights).

But Duran tried and failed to go 49-0 over 6 years in real life, even though the majority of his first 49 opponents (who were all 140 or below) had fewer than 10 wins and/or more losses than wins. Why would he do better against far more talented (and bigger) opposition? :huh

Also, are you saying that Duran would have gone undefeated if he had fought Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir, DLH (at 154), Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Canelo, Guerrero, Maidana (X2) and Pacquiao in the 3-year (one loss) period between when he fought Pachito Munoz and Ray Lampkin in real life? Seems to follow from your premise that he would have gone undefeated if he'd fought Floyd's foes on his real life schedule, so I just want to make sure that you understand what you're arguing.

Slither back into your pond you moron after you have watched this. At exactly 13.13 ( the end of round 3 ) Leonard raises his arms aloft. At exactly 14.02 the official scorecards are posted on the screen.

    Judge Ford. 10 - 9 L

    Judge Minker. 10 - 9 L

    Judge Tabat 10 - 9 H

Now for the last time crawl away and send your 4 year old niece in. Believe me she could not possibly know less than you.

We get it that your ego makes you think that your half witted scoring is more important than the official scoring, but that doesn't make it true.:nut:nut

It actually took him 7 years to have 49 fights. 68 - 75.
