This would be one I'd pay to see, I like Duran as Henry is actually shorter and I have a hard time seeing a smaller man walk in on Roberto Duran. Probably fight 3 times at least

    I don't know....Armstrong was pretty unstoppable.

A 15 rounder, I assume? Hammerin' Hank wins on points. Unless Roberto can catch him in the
nuts like he did to Buchanan.

As the featherweight champion, Hank moved up and beat the welterweight champion Barney Ross. Hank wins fight one of a Duran Trilogy. (Fight 2 & 3 are toss-ups)

I like Duran, Armstrong was actually smaller then Duran, and was tough as they come, but very hittable. Duran at lightweight was as close to unbeatable as R.Robinson was at welter. Duran would meet Armstrong in the trenches. But because he was better defensively he actually would land the harder cleaner punches. Say a unanimous dec, or a late stoppage.

    Duran
    More versatile
    Better Defense
    Better footwork
    Faster
    Hit Harder
    This is at 135 & 147

50/50 fight. I go with Armstrong only because of his relentless pressure. Literally. That man never took a step back it seems.

Duran has everything going for him like Robert said. I would be interested in seeing how Duran did against that kind of pressure.

Duran hit Ken in the nuts in response to Ken throwing 2 punches after the bell. Although Ken had his moments, Duran was beating him pillar to post in that fight.

I'm pretty convinced Duran would win this fight. Henry was there to be hit, and it wasn't very hard to do so. You don't want a solid lead puncher and counter puncher like Duran to have all those openings. Duran is simply better in more areas, and the key, he's better defensively. This isn't the slower paced, more methodical Duran of higher weights, this is Duran at his LW best. He wins that fight.

I think Armstrong would narrowly outwork Duran in an absolute war over 15 rounds.

That would pretty much require Duran to be standing infront of Armstrong all night and thats not gonna happen. Duran will be turning him using angles disrupting Armstrongs style of attack. As I stated above Duran is faster slicker more versatile hits harder much better defense and footwork. This goes the distance but Duran wins clearly

It would most certainly be a great action war. Armstrong was more of a grinder, Duran a bit better on the counter and defense.

My guess is Armstrong via SD.

I'm just not seeing this Armstrong outworking Duran for he win. Sure, he'll throw a lot of punches, but he'll also miss a lot, and Duran will land counter bombs. Plus, Duran will land lead blows as well. Duran at LW was a whole different animal to later incarnations. He isn't just easily outworked at that weight, his punch output was pretty good as well, and he'll be much better defensively
