How would Duran fair against other great Lightweights like:
    Joe Gans
    Benny Leonard
    Ike Williams
    Carlos Ortiz
Henry Armstrong (i know he's naturally a featherweight, but he fought successfully many times at Lightweight.)

    Thoughts?

Wow, I am not certain! I rate Duran highly top 15 (not top 10 like many do though....and even with Gans as 2-3 LW ATG behind Leonard).

I would favor him over Ortiz, but see a very close fight

Leonard & Gans I see pretty even and would excpect a SD/MD/Draw type of outcome

I would probably favor both Armstrong & Williams but not in stoppages.

I would probably favor him over Jack since it has been brought up....and since I have no Montgomery footage I can't pick Bob over him although I want to.

And although not included I have always made my against the grain pick of Laguna over Duran UD 15.

Questions like this make my head hurt haha. I cant see him dominating any of them, nor getting dominated, all have potential to be very close on cards, and a few fights would be wars with potential for ko.

Duran has a solid chance to beat every single one of them, they also have a chance against him, all great fighters here... I`m not sure any of them are a complete as Duran was tho.... not that that automatically means Duran wins but I`m just saying, nobody would dominate Duran at 135 lbs.

I'd favor him over all, with Williams and Armstrong having the best chance of taking him. It's one of his successors - Whitaker - that would probably be his most difficult challenge at 135.

DURAN by ko. over all but Armstrong. At lightweight Duran beats Armstrong. Duran was unbelievabler at lightweigght nad even though my dad and uncles loved Benny and I, Williams in my midteens, I go with Duran by KO

So you havent seen enough of Ortiz to form an opinion despite the fact that theres more footage of Ortiz than all the others combined but you have seen enough of Gans and Leonard to pick them to beat Duran, you're full of ****.
