light punching Buchanan, who had plenty of close wins against mediocre competition and got beat up by the mighty Miguel Velazquez? You're out of your gourd. DeJesus got outboxed by Antonio Gomez, who never became more than a regional fighter and went on to lose 4 and draw 2 of his next 12 fights. He would be a routine, easy defense for JMM, let alone a prime killing machine JCC.

JCC was old and done when he fought those guys. Duran was far from done when he got his ass crushed on multiple occasions by every HOF fighter he ran into.

Pernell was also on the downside yet he handed Chavez (still undefeated) a boxing lesson? Yes Chavez was old when he fought Oscar de la Hoya, being 34, whereas Duran was 33 when he lost to a better fighter in Hearns. Jesus what an age difference.

Since you're not a boxing fan, I'll educate you for free. In boxing terms, 'age' is not only measured chronologically. It has to do with how many fights you've had and how ring worn a fighter is.

Seriously. We're talking about a guy that had 32 fights while being the lightweight champ, 12 of which were actual defenses. 72-1 at his peak beating champs, former world champs from multiple divisions, and that's while he was ****ing around.

They both go through hell in this one. I'd take Duran by decision as I don't see either guy getting stopped.

2 terrific fighters.Duran's the better boxer and quicker than JCC and I think that would be the difference.Duran would land far more often than (hard chinned)JCC would and Duran had a terrific chin, too.

Chavez did better with movers than Duran did, although Duran fought greater guys. But the greats Duran fought who were great outclassed him at times. Hearns,Benitez,Leonard.

Randall refused to take a drug test.

Chavez had broken Randall's ribs during the fight, and Randall was able to make it to the 12th round with broken ribs, without feeling pain.

and yes, that was an old Chavez fighting a young STEROID cheating-Randall.
