    :goodGreat post,Tommy.Also,people shouldn't forget that Duran beat 2 guys(Marcel and Fernandez) that beat Alexis Arguello.

    duran loss to a way lesser fighter in his prime, and at lightweight....no way in hell does chavez lose to just anyone at 135 (possibly no one).....i would give the edge to chavez in a very tough, close decision......

    plus..at lightweight chavez fought the better guys and was more of a beast than duran IMO

    Chavez was probably a bit more consistent with his attack. Other than that, he has nothing on Duran, who definitely faced the better comp at lightweight. Duran just has too many advantages to be beaten here.
