Very close & ATG war likely, one of my favourite fantasy fights.

I give Duran the edge on points in a close one, his natural size & better 2 handed KO power give him the edge.

Anyone that picked either by KO/TKO are hoping for a borderline miracle here, nothing is impossible but you cannot honestly believe that a knockout is the likely outcome in this one.

Duran UD. Just that bit better at damn near everything and a more fluid practitioner in general. Great fight though. I'd only pick 3 Lightweights over Chavez, and he'd give each of them hell.

Surely, Duran would take this. His speed would nick it for me on a decision win.

Chavez beat NOBODY better than Buchanan and DeJesus at lightweight.

What a savage fight that would be.
It would probably go the distance. Duran split decision.

Duran would win by close but clear cut decision. Although i think Chavez puts his punches better on the inside, Duran has a lot more tricks and is much more explosive, it was a think of beauty in his prime when he would take just a step to the right and fire that left hook from a weird angle that his opponents just couldn't see. Duran was also much better and faster in the outside, better defense and reflexes.

I would be a taxing war with Duran coming out on top.

Duran would be the favorite but it would probably be a 8-4 or 7-5 decision either way both are great body punchers can fight coming forward but also have great defensive skills

Funnily enough, i was thinking of this fight earlier at this exact weight.

One thing i'm certain of is that this definitely goes the distance. These two were ridiculously durable at the weight and i can't see any Lightweight in history stopping either of them over 12 rounds. People voting for either to win by stoppage are insane imo.

Very, very close fight, almost impossible to seperate. I don't think either beat a fighter as good as the other at 135, and i mean that with the greatest of respect because they beat some damn fine fighters at the weight.

Genuinely on the fence here. Gun to my head, Duran by SD/MD.

Duran sparks the fraud, his handpicked judges and handpicked referee all out.
