Duran beats Manny at any weight... And for those who are hesitant at Duran -manny at ww.. Just think Montreal. I would go in depth more but i did that a few weeks ago ,until i was blue in the face. This matchup is made on ESB quite often.

Pac has a better chance at lightweight. Duran had the frame to compete at middle. He beat the best welter in the world at the time and competed with the best middle. The best welter Pac has competed against is Cotto.

Pac resume at 130 is a much better indicator of showing he can hang with the best at 135.

Personally I think Pac would beat Duran at 135 and lose at 147. Both in close, but brutally competitive matches.

I absolutely agree with msot everyone goign with Duran at 135 lbs. But, could we really pick against the Duran 147 night of SRL ?Think of what he did with Leonard that night. I`m not sure if Pac could handle THAT Duran ... At lighweight, other than Benny Leonard, ( and thats pick-em) I don`t see anyone beating Duran. Great chin, slick defense, and even more tenacious than Pac. None of this is a knock on Pac... But heh, vintage Duran was DURAN !!!

I'd pick Duran to KO Pac at both weights, if anything he'd have more of an advantage at ww than at lw. No version of Pac is beating the version of Duran that fought Leonard, nor do I think does any version of Pac beat the Duran who fought De Jesus. But if Pac's going to win any fight, I'd pick him at lw.

Well they're both extraordinary fighters, that's why we're having this discussion, but a prime Duran had just a little bit more of most of what Pac has. Better defense, more power, more agression..but Pac's probably better at angles and mixing up his game a bit more, but unfortunately that simply wouldn't stop a prime Duran from making it an inside fight.

Pacquiao's lack of defense (its not the worst defense but its not great either). Is going to cost him.
    Duran wins.

Duran decisions Pac at LW in a fight probably similar to Pac-Morales 1. Pac decisions Duran at WW IMO, the footwork and in and out ambush style of Pac might just get to Duran and frustrate him.

i have a feeling duran easily disposes a lightweight manny

however the welterweight pacquiao is a different beast

a real 50/50 fight that more often than not goes to duran by close decision

Pac gets crushed at any weight for **** sake & especially at WW, just look what Duran did too Palomino & Leonard in Montreal & what with pac taking little breathers on the ropes is a reciepe for absolute disaster. Duran just dominates pac in every department & it ai'nt no slight on the pacman as i'am a full on commited ******* & will be flying over too Vegas to cheer him on against Mosley as i did when i flew over to watch him against Hatton & Cotto but he ai'nt got a prayer of overcoming an animal such as Duran who is the complete package as being a skilled technician in offence & defence + iron chinned.

At welterweight Duran outsped Leonard in Montreal & beat him all across the ring from pillar too post. It would go without saying that it would be a brutal/savage & frenetic 6 rounds until pac is chopped in half by Durans body attack & then whats left is smashed to pieces.

At LW Duran was thee monster, Pac just dos'nt have the defensive skills to off-set Duran's murderous onslaughts! then! now! NEVER!.

Duran at any weight. I cant see it going any other way in my head. Mannys a great fighter but Duran would take away the things he does best and leave him with no answers.

This 147 stuff in Pac's favor makes NO sense. NONE. The guy who got tagged when Clottey opened up, who got hit a fair amount by Cotto, and who got busted up a bit by Margo isn't going to beat a man who holds a decisive win over SRL in his prime.
