Duran was past prime/not motivated for those fights. A focused Duran (SRL 1, De Jesus) would outfight Pacquiao with relative ease. If Pacquiao was forced to fight as often as Duran did, im damn sure he would have more L's on his record
So what..mentally stable is still an important attribute that a great fighter must constantly have otherwise Zab Judah is the ATG. And he would have more W's on his record as well.
Yes mental strength is important, but many ATG fighters have lost fights they should not have during their years but it isnt held as a reason to discredit them. And the Judah example is not credible because he hasnt actually done much in his career.. Take Carmen Basilio as an example, he was subject to losing streaks but still went on to beat SRR. And yes Pacquiao would have more wins, im not disputing that. But a prime Pac would still not beat a prime Duran
I'm going to get a me a nice, greasy pork peanut butter sandwich with a chocolate Dr. Pepper malt, and then I'm going to pay homage to my father Lucifer in my trailer.
Anyone who actually watched Duran and knew a few things about boxing knew Duran would take this. Great fun fight and Pacquiao would be competitive, but I don't see Duran doing anything but drawing Filipino blood and winning. Really?! :happy
I don't know man..I've seen Duran in his prime, and honestly I think he would make short work of Manny. Duran had an incredible inside game and had a great mid range game as well. Hell, i've seen Duran knock fighters out arms fully extended...They didn't call him Hands of Stone for nothing.
