Waist of a thread Floyd would never fight him in his prime ..He would though face the one Vinny Pazenza fought ! Floyd doesn't have the stones to face a prime Duran!

He was for De Jesus 1. Too much partying according to his trainer. The proof is in the fact he knocked De Jesus out in their next 2 fights.

Hearns I'm not sure. I think he was just up against a much bigger, younger, great fighter and got overwhelmed by his speed, long arms and ridiculous power.

For Hagler he trained like a beast and done great against a ****ing monster of a fighter and probably the greatest at that weight.

Some people on here think Mayweather can beat Duran because Duran got beat by this and that. They dont look into the factors. Who the hell has Mayweather fought even close to Hearns, Hagler, Benitez. Even Buchanan and De jesus are better wins than any of Floyds because Duran fought them in their prime.

If it was Duran in the ring instead of JLC or ODH on those nights do you honestly think Floyd can win?

Yes I do PBF has the style that troubles Duran that's what you fail to realize. He can fight in a stick and move style he wouldn't be lured into a brawl with Duran. He can do this with a high ring IQ and great stamina. He's a bad match up for Duran.

Duran was a beast we know that, but Floyd would not fight Duran the way Leonard fought him the first time. Leonard tried to beat Duran at his own game and lost because of it. If Leonard fought him the way he did the second time, the first time, then he would of won the fight. Duran had no answer for Leonard the second fight, because he could not adjust and that plays a key factor when fighting Mayweather.

50/50 fight. A razor thin decision either way.

Easily? It happened one time in over 100 fights. If it happened 10-15 times then I'd agree it was easy but not after one incident.

The question to guys picking Floyd is who has Floyd fought who is even remotely in the same stratosphere as Duran? The answer is nobody.

Duran has fought fighters who are better than Mayweather in many respects and at times at weights where he was a much smaller man. Its a matter of being proven at a higher level against higher level opposition.

If you truly believe Floyd would win this, you are a p4p nuthugger.

Not only would Floyd never fight a guy like Duran, if they did, Duran is exactly Floyd's kryptonite. He will brutalise Floyd and won't flinch at any of Floyd's biggest shots, which he rarely throws and never in combination.

You're joking right? This post makes me wonder if you've ever even seen Duran fight!

He took Barkley's best punches and keep on coming and you're telling me PBF's punches are going to bother him. Hell even Moore had more power than Floyd and look where that got him. Honestly, I've been watching boxing for well over 40 years and Floyd just doesn't have the power to keep Duran off of him, and he certainly doesn't have the power to stop him. So either Floyd runs for 12 rounds and pot shots his way to a victory, or he gets brutalised. I'm picking option 2.

That's fine only if you assume two things. One is the Duran who fought leonard in the second fight was the same as the first. We all know that's not true, since he gained at least 40lb and was forced to take this fight under short notice. And secondly, that Leonard had the option of fighting a different fight than he did the first time. Many think he was forced into fighting this style by Duran's aggressiveness. Others think Dundee and SRL planned to fight like this because all the success they had in the past indicated this would work. Either way, a peak Duran, doesn't fight like the Duran in New Orlean's, he's fights like the Duran of Montreal. So use that as the basis of your analysis when deciding who wins.

Even though this fight is hypothetical, you can tell how ******ed some people are in terms of boxing knowledge. Let me just say that I've seen videos where ROGER MAYWEATHER himself is not convinced Mayweather beats Duran. I don't even know why this is even a discussion.

TO THIS DAY, Leonard is still not satisfied with his win in the 2nd fight. FACT! You tell me why?
