Who wins this dream matchup of an unstoppable force versus an untouchable object?

Duran, Locche didn`t throw enough shots to score well against Duran, fighters needed to throw a lot of shots at Duran because he was hard to hit while also having a high work-rate, Locche hardly threw any right hands, Duran would land far more right hands and most of the fight would be Duran forcing the action with Locche on the defensive, much how a fight with Floyd and Duran would be.

Duran would win every round past the third. Locche's movement and nonchalant defence would frustate him, but he'd fine his range and his jab would be messing with Locche. After tasting some of Duran's power, Looche shells up and loses every round from thereon in. Can't see it taking particularly long for Duran to land something that lets Locche know what he's in for.

    Duran as well for me.

Duran was busy, had fast hands and was composed unlike some of those crude sluggers Locche looks so good against. At some point Locche needs to actually land punches to win. No doubt there would be points where Locche looks great but Duran will win the fight.

The last 5 rounds of this fight will be totally uphill for Locche, with Arcel in his corner I expect to see Duran go to the body constantly and going the distance will be an achievement for Locche

As we all know, if you moved against Duran, he would quit. Therefore, Locche makes him quit.

I really think that the 140 lb weight class would have been better suited for Roberto Duran after he vacated his World Lightweight Title. I think that Duran would have defeated Nicolino Locche on points but he would have had to earm that victory as Locche was very crafty.

I do remember that Jan 29 1977 title defense for Roberto Duran, TKO 13. It was the same day that Freddie Prinze Sr died after his suicide attempt. No more Chico And The Man.

I didn’t realize that was the same day. Freddie was on his way to big things. RIP.
