Roberto Duran (1980) Vs. Oscar De La Hoya (1997 /1998 ) What a fight on paper, That turns into a chess match instead of a brawl. Toss-up, IMO.
i said being afraid of getting koed, why you think he ran against tito.. he never fought like that in his whole career but for tito he changed everything my point exactly, camacho never been koed either which mean he ran to not get hit just like dlh did against tito :hat
Oscar followed his corners instructions to BOX the last couple of rounds. Tito was no where near to hurting OScar and didn't even stun him the whole fight. A little dumb to say Oscar ran because he was afraid of getting KO'd lol He ran and boxed because he should have been comfortably ahead on the scorecards and wanted to win the safe decision
X2! At 147 I think ODLH would win an UD. At lower weights, Duran would beat ODLH anyday. ODLH was most powerful at 147.
Duran roughs Oscar up inside and wears him down with body punches to secure a very clear decision over 12...or stoppage over 15. Maybe he'd stop Oscar late in a 12 rnd fight too. As stiff as Oscar was and straight-up, against the fluidity/inside work/body punching/and swiftness of Duran...could get ugly. I'm not so sure Oscar would've beaten Palomino.
