Might take Duran a couple rounds to adjust to Tall Paul's height and range, but after that he sharp shoots Williams badly. Williams would fight to the end, but the ref jumps in to save him circa 9-10.
I have to favor Duran as well. But you make a good point about Paul’s height being an obstacle. That and he could crack. Would certainly be an interesting one.
If Duran is focused and in shape, William's would be utterly destroyed, even on HIS best night. Duran's just a different caliber of opponent. And William's isn't T.Hearns, or close to him. I see Duran starting a little slow, to adjust to William's height , southpaw stance, and speed. But once Duran figures Williams out,( It wouldn't take him long, probably by the forth round) Duran would be in William's chest so close , he would feel like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Duran would wrestle William's to the ropes or corners and brutalize his mid section. William's would slowly began to wilt. Trying to fight in a manner he's never seen before, against a fighter at least in the top ten greatest fighters in history. Duran massacres William's within 10 rds. Than Duran would tell William's girl friend or wife , to come F*** a real man.....
One thing's for sure, Williams does better against Duran than he would against Leonard and Hearns. Leonard destroys him within 6 and Hearns destroys him within 3.
The problem with Williams is that he would lean in with his chin, under-utilized his size advantage, and was eager to exchange. Montreal Duran could beat him on points.
