I could see a similar result, but not a similar fight. SRL and Pea are not even similar in style or approach for me to see this unfold in a similar way.

Duran is too dynamic for Pea's style.....the issue is Pea was not a mover he was an angle guy and Duran was quick

I think Duran wins this. But I'm intrigued by the possibility that Whitaker might spring an upset.

I think many people underestimate just how tough Pernell Whitaker was..... Angelo Dundee was asked who was the toughest fighter ever and he declared Julio Cesar Chavez. He was then asked was he tougher than Marciano and he confirmed once again Chavez was the toughest he ever saw. I watched Pernell Whitaker out tough Chavez and I'm telling you at lightweight he shouldn't be dismissed. Duran mentally broke down when leonard started with his antics in their rematch and I can only imagine his frustration when Pernell Whitaker would stand right in front of him making him miss, countering the body, and possibly pulling his shorts down the way he did Roger Mayweather. Another missing element of Whitaker was the body punching. Class shows over time and I see the same frustration Chavez showed overcoming Duran besides we already saw him do a No Mas therefore, I have no doubt that if Leonard antic made him throw his hands up and quit you better believe by round 8 he would be looking for the exit against Whitaker. As great as Duran was at Lightweight he would have never seen anything like the 1984 Gold medalist.....

Duran's aggression plays right into Whitakers hands!

    Pernell Whitaker by Unanimous decision!!!

I think Whitaker wins a UD. Not the style which would benefit Duran.

Whitaker wouldn't have time to clown in this one. He would be too busy trying to fight Duran off of him. When Pea gets drilled by that right hand lead he would be wishing he was in the ring with Chavez.
