    The fight that started the Fab Four and still one of the best fights between 2 ATGs. It was a clash of styles between the street fighter and the fancy boxer.
    Roberto Duran had already dominated the LW division and avenged his only loss to Esteban Dejesus twice before moving up in weight. Meanwhile Leonard was an Olympic gold medalist who was already on his way super stardom when he beat Wilfred Benitez. He was like the successor to Ali in a way because of his quick hands and feet and flashy style. Leonard looked to be the bigger, faster, and more talented fighter over Duran, but Duran showed that he was the boss that night when he fought like a man-possessed against Leonard and thrashed him throughout. Although Leonard still gave it his all when he fought out of his comfort zone. Duran’s beautiful display of offense, defense, body punching and counterpunching was just on point. Probably the greatest victory since Frazier beating Ali in the Fight of the Century.

    One of the best wins ever.
    One of the best performances ever.
    One of the best fights ever.

    Forget Marvel and the make believe super heroes they got nothing on the real one the one and only Montreal Duran.

    In any discussion of the best fights of all time, this would be one of them. The skill level and competitiveness were off the charts. Both fighters were superbly conditioned and gave it their all.

    One my favorite fights. Just an all-time great F-U win by Duran, and SRL proving he was more than just some pretty-boy hype job.

    A true master piece by Duran. I recall being fearful they would screw him, which they seemingly tried to do as he controlled the fight. It was not as close as judged.
