Back in the olden days, fighting was a way to make a living. Today, it is an Orchestrated Business. Sadly, the health risks for the fighters for each fight, is the same.

I saw that Floyd Mayweather pointed out Robinson losses I guess to make it seem he was greater, but Robinson fought much more often and made it 122 or 123 fights losing one. That's like 2 and a half times as many fights as MayeeaMayw had in his entire career

If Robinson convincingly beats Duran the first time it just gets easier from there.

Depends on the weight. SRR started at LW and later moved up.

At LW Duran has an advantage
    At WW toss up
    At MW advantage SRR

Welterweight is where SRR was his most lethal and the greatest Welterweight that ever lived at MW he was a top 10 but was beatable but not by Duran....he moved better than SRL and was just better all the way around

    I pick Robinson.

However, in a three fight series, Duran wins atleast 1.

Prime for prime Robinson dismantles Duran in 14. It would have been one hell of a superfight though. Those two would be a terrific battle imo.

My opinion is that when Duran has time and motivation, which he surely would have against SRR, he would win. In future fights though SSR would likely prevail.

I think Duran still wins that one regardless of SRR motivation.

SRR wins every time. And I'm a Duran fan.

Sugar Ray was consistent. That is undeniable. One of the great achievements in sports. He has so many knockouts but still don't know how many more he could've had. He was so good, so dominant that he on occasion had to agree to ''carry' fighters. He would of had trouble getting fights had he not played nice.
He mentioned a few names in Dave Anderson's book. One was certainly Charlie Fusari. Years later when somebody asked Ray what was his toughest fight. He said "Fusari". Why? Because I had to fight 15 rounds for me and 15 rounds for him."
Point is just looking at the record on paper is misleading. Its impossible to say how many more knockouts he could of had.

Carlos Palomino was pretty good. He had a great chin and decent power. I think he is better than Dejesus.
