I'm not sure on this fight, on 1 hand I don't rate Winky that highly, I always, don't think Winky really mixed in the class of Duran, Mosley/Tito aren't nearly as skilled. On the other hand Winky is tough to beat, very solid defensively an excellent jab and workrate.

The nearest thing Winky ever came to Duran was Vargas, who was bigger and more primed but not as good. That was a close call that probably went the wrong way

Not a crime but considering Winky has a style, size and age advantage not really reasonable IMO.

I won't go off on a tirade because it is a subject for another thread, but in my opinion Davey Moore's career was horribley mismanaged. A damn good fighter was unnecessarily ruined before he ever got started.

I think Duran faces similar problems to those which troubled Mosley: he's facing a nasty size diadvantage against someone skilled enough to use it; he doesn't have the power at 154 to make a difference when he does land; he's going to be put on the back foot against a long jabber and he's going to have it; he's going to find the body very difficult to hit etc.

Like Mosley, Duran would have the greatness to make a fight out of it. I think he could even make it pretty close. However, I rate WW pretty highly and I don't think Duran is the kind of opponent to beat him.
